Short Summary

On Thanksgiving evening, 2012, Amber Chandler was driving her kids home from a family dinner when she was involved in a horrible accident. Her 2 daughters, ages 7 and 6, had to be airlifted, spent many days in ICU and experienced many surgeries. Amber and her 5 year old son were admitted to the hospital with significant injuries as well. The girls, especially, have a very long road ahead of them with substantial injuries that will require ongoing care and numerous surgeries. The seven year old daughter will be in a wheelchair for the forseeable future. The six year old girl has a nephrostomy bag and a urostomy bag and will require numerous surgeries to (hopefully) repair the extensive damage. The entire family will need to process the events of that evening and learn how to live their lifes outside of the hospital. This will, undoubtedly, have huge mental and financial impacts to the whole family.

What We Need and The Impact

Funds are needed to support the Chandler family in their recovery. Amber and the children will have extensive medical bills. Their house will need to altered to accommodate a wheelchair. The wheelchair needs to be purchased/rented. Nursing help will be needed. Amber's car will need to be replaced. YOU can help this family feel normal and safe once again! Every penny helps!
