About the Book
How to Arrange Physics and Geography to Your Advantage is Charlie Getter's first collection of new poems since 2011's three-volume collection, The Garrulous Progress.
At once accessible, clever, and fun, How to Arrange Physics and Geography to Your Advantage is more than meets the eye. As one of the poems contained therein ("I live on an iceberg") might imply, there's much beneath the surface, and like a fine Scotch chilled with Arctic ice (that's a reference—get the book and find out!), these poems are delightfully witty on the nose, yet develop a complex and beguilingly nuanced character when savored.
About the Author:
Charlie Getter is the author of four poetry collections, and his work has appeared in numerous anthologies, journals, zines, and other publications. He's a founding member of the Collaborative Arts Insurgency (CAI), the group of artists, poets, emcees, and musicians responsible for the genesis of the ongoing 16th & Mission street arts workshop that takes place every Thursday on the streetcorner at 16th & Mission in San Francisco's Mission District.
About seven7h tangent
seven7h tangent was founded in 2007 by a loose collective of writers, artists, poets, and designers who share a love of literature, out of a desire to bring the work of San Francisco's street poets and writers to your bookshelf. One of our earliest projects was The 16th & Mission Review, a hand-bound bimonthly anthology featuring writing from the Thursday night gatherings, and distributed for free.
Your support for How to Arrange Physics and Geography to Your Advantage directly supports our ongoing efforts to elevate the voices of San Francisco's literary underground.
