Short Summary
Firstly, thank you for visiting our indiegogo page for Chimera! We really appreciate you taking the time to check out our project.
We hope you watched our pitch video above! Here is a little more about the project and about us.
Chimera is a short film by a group of students at the University of
Sunderland.
Chimera is the story of Oscar, a 6yr old boy who doesn’t like loud
noises. He hates it when his Dad shouts and always tries to drown out the
shouting. One day the noise gets too much. Oscar retreats into his imagination,
and deep into an enchanted forest, a beautiful refuge where magic can really
happen, and his toys are a little more real than ever before. But not all is well in paradise and when things take a turn for the worse and Oscar is again,
powerless to control his own fate.
What We Need & What You Get
Every little helps and even £1 will help us make Chimera. We are taking on an incredibly ambitious project and are working with a wonderfully talented cast including three children from around the North East. We have an amazingly talented crew that are totally motivated and work extremely hard. We aim to create a mix of fantasy and social realism by focusing on children's imaginative power, so will be using a range of special visual effects and stunning locations including the wonderful Kielder Forest.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will help towards the cost of:
- Transport
- Accomodation
- Equipment Hire
- Location Hire
- Props and Costume
