The 14th Annual Chinatown Beautification Day and Youth Conference
Chinatown Youth Initiatives (CYI) is excited to announce that the 14th Annual Chinatown Beautification Day and Youth Conference will be taking place this year on August 20th and 21st! This two-day event consists of a full day series of seminars and workshops followed by a day of community service where volunteers help clean the streets of Chinatown, all in the interest of building personal and community pride.
Our Youth Conference exposes our participants to working professionals and community leaders who will share their experiences and lead discussions on identities within the Asian American community. Following the conference is Chinatown Beautification Day; this is a great event where our participants beautify Chinatown while learning the importance of civic duty and giving back to the community. Our day of service draws 150 to 300 volunteers throughout the city each year to help in the effort.
How Can You Support Our Cause?
We are currently accepting donations to help fund our event this year! Your contribution will help us in promoting our two-day event; funds will be used to provide cleaning supplies and water to our volunteers as well as conference materials and a comfortable space to host our Youth Conference. The donations will help us make the event a success and provide a unique learning experience for NYC youth who care about their community.
We hope you can help us keep Chinatown clean and our community stronger than ever!
