Perhaps you know St Thomas’, the Gothic-style Victorian church nestled amongst shops, universities and offices in the Haymarket, Newcastle upon Tyne

Perhaps you already know that we are open most of the week, welcoming to all, warm in the winter, thanks to our new boiler, and cool in the summer, thanks to our thick stone walls. Always a calm, quiet escape from the hassle all around. In addition we host arts events and exhibitions and provide a venue for community groups who cannot afford other premises.

Perhaps you know how hard we have all worked over the past two years to raise the money for the replacement heating, and how hard we continue to work to fund vital roof repairs and our new toilet facilities.

All the above was/is planned maintenance and improvement, and we plan well to meet our needs ... But now, suddenly, the floor in the main aisle is collapsing beneath our feet, as the picture shows. We are not sure what lies below, as nothing like this has happened before!. We urgently need a professional survey to tell us what to plan for next. is will cost around £850
