My Name is Mahamadu Abdul Salam https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1000113... , I’m the Founding President of Centre for Liberty & Entrepreneurship (CLE Ghana)https://www.facebook.com/CentreforLiberty/ , an independent, non-profit, research and educational organization devoted to the principles of free markets, individual liberty, secure private property rights, the rule of law, limited government and innovation and entrepreneurship.
I took over Africa Youth Peace Call's flagship Liberty & Entrepreneurship Camp and successfully organized Winter Session Liberty & Entrepreneurship Camp 2017 on February 23rd - 26th at Wa the capital city of Upper West region - Ghana which recorded 69 participants across Africa. The camps creates a platform for young Africans to discover the philosophy of Liberty, free markets and gain knowledge of entrepreneurship skills. In an era where youth unemployment and economic freedom has become a chronic headache in Africa as a result of weak Economic Liberty, the camp offers an opportunity for the youth to start businesses & institutions for political reforms.
Short Summary
Northern Ghana is the poorest part of the country. Although there’s rich land in
abundance, people cannot leverage their land to, for instance, borrow money for education or starting businesses, or secure it for their children or spouses if something happens, because they have no land titles to prove the ownership of the land. This creates a lack of financial mobility and often violent conflicts. Land titles can be done on the Bitcoin blockchain at a very minimal costs, and without the involvement of centralized institutions. It's an unprecedented opportunity to free millions of people from poverty. Africa Youth Peace Call started this journey in 2015 to eradicate poverty and ensure economic freedom in the increasing impoverish zone of Ghana (Northern Sector) before it was sent hiding by the socialist cronies.
Therefore our Summer Camp is focus on continuing this journey on how the Blockchain Technology can be used to issue land titles. It will take place from August 23rd - 27th, 2017. We are Liberating Northern Ghana Economically and Eradicating poverty on the Theme: Entrepreneurship, Growth & Competitiveness; The Blockchain to the Rescue’.
The Impact
We are working together with BITNATION, the traditional rulers, opinion leaders and the people of the North to use the Blockchain Technology to issue land titles in the north this summer and beyond. BITNATION has tested and issued Land Titles on the Bitcoin Blockchain and we shall do same in Northern Ghana, CLE Ghana will educate the youth, so they can do these Land tittles and private property registration in Northern Ghana and Ghana as a whole to free the economy using Blockchain Technology.
Throughout the week participants will learn entrepreneurship skills, explore the social and economic benefits of a secure private property regime, coupled with land titles, corporate incorporation, smart contracts and more, and how the Blockchain Technology can deliver that on the cheap. They will be assisted to draw an Action Plan to educate their communities to facilitate their cooperation and smooth implementation of the Land Title Project.
Our Blockchain Titles Ambassadors will form a network to educate their communities about the Bitcoin Blockchain Technology, and how to use it. Two days will be set aside as Cryptocurrency/Blockchain Business Opportunities Days. This will enable participants to explore the business side of Cryptocurrency/Blockchain, and how to start their own profitable ventures with it especially emerging Altcoins such as Dash.
Speakers like Prof. Noel Berge, Tim Tayshun, Afrikanus Kofi Akosah, Susanne Tarkowski Templehof, Dr. Tom G. Palmer, Prof. Ken Schoolland, Joyce Regina Brim, Adusie Akwesi, Prof. Brian Ogstad, Ken Van Doren etc shall be on the camp. Some of them will be at the location whilst others will teach via video conference.
Centre for Liberty & Entrepreneurship has great experience organizing conferences and seminars together with ATLAS Network, Students For Liberty, Africa Youth Peace Call etc.
What We Need & What You Get
It will cost $6,334.20 USD to provide accommodation, feeding, socials, conference & Learning materials for 50 students throughout the week. Students are contributing half of the cost with half coming from your kind donations. We are therefore raising $3,167.10 USD to make the camp a reality.
