Cluster Headaches What are they ?

Cluster Suicide Headaches are exceptionally severe headaches that occur for no known cause. Cluster Suicide Headaches are more rare than migraines, affecting only 69 out of every 100,000 people - less than 0.1 % (percent) of the population.

Cluster Headaches are excruciating, unilateral headaches of extreme intensity. The duration of the common attack ranges from as short as 15 minutes to three hours or more. The onset of an attack is rapid, and most often without the preliminary signs that are characteristic of a migraine

The pain of Cluster Headaches is markedly greater than in other headache conditions, including severe migraines; experts have suggested that it may be the most painful condition known to medical science. Dr. Peter Goadsby, Professor of Clinical Neurology at University College London, a leading researcher on the condition has commented:

Cluster headache is probably the worst pain that humans experience.

The video above shows you what a Cluster Headache Sufferer has to endure during an attack. We want to thank Hilde for having the courage to post her video on        YouTube.

Who are we ?

  • Cluster Suicide Headache Inc is a Non Profit Foundation based in Canada. Our initial goal was to bring awareness through our educational programs, leading to better and earlier diagnosis, however we quickly realized the need for front line, hands on care and support, without prejudice or discrimination.
  • We are raising funds to purchase a property to create a respite & convalescent retreat; a place for Cluster Headache sufferers and their supporters, the unsung heroes, can come and receive the support and care they so desperately need.
  • Cluster Headaches are called 'suicide headaches because sufferers, who feel they have lost their quality of life, will often decide to end the pain. This is a debilitating, incurable disease.  By providing a safe, quiet environment that sufferers can go, to regroup and regain their strength we strive to never lose another to this disease.

What We Need

We need your support to open Redrok Meadows Respite & Convalescent Retreat. We plan to purchase an acreage with an established home and expand on it. Our intention is to establish Redrok Meadows in Tennessee. Cluster Suicide Headache Inc will become a registered 501(c)3 Non Profit Charity in the State of Tennessee prior to the opening of the facility.

  • We are looking to raise $1,000,000 to be able to purchase a property outright. If we exceed our goal additional funds will be used for the operational costs - providing employment for nursing and ancillary staff.
  • What if we don't reach your entire goal? All funds raised will be solely used for the opening of Redrok Meadows.  If we are unable to reach our goal with this campaign the funds will be held in trust until the remaining amount is raised through other fundraising campaigns.

The Impact You Will Have By Donating

We will be able to provide crisis intervention and support; hands on nursing care; psychological support for both the sufferer and their family; a place of comfort in peaceful surroundings, free from any stigma or discrimination. Their is no such place in the world provided specifically for Cluster Headache sufferers and their families.

  • As a contributor to this campaign you are helping all Cluster Headache sufferers at the grassroots. While other campaigns use advocacy and work on developing research projects, no one is providing the grassroots care that sufferers need.
  • This is our goal. We need a place like Redrok Meadows - a home away from home with one simple goal: provide all the necessary care and support we can to help relieve some, if not all, of the suffering.
  • Cluster Headache sufferers commonly suffer from PTSD as well.  As such, suicide is often considered by sufferers to be a serious option.  Sufferers have frequently commented that it's "one way to put a stop to The Beast, and end the agonizing pain and torture" that they endure. This is why we desperately need to open Redrok Meadows Respite & Convalescent Retreat.
