The Technonaut Revolution
Greeting fans! The Technonaut Revolution is a high fantasy, industrial punk setting, with cosmic horror leanings, that follows The Pax Anti Daemus. This is an elite investigation unit charged with hunting down and destroying demons on the mythical world of Ieo. Think "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," but with magic. A 1930-1940 'art deco' theme, classic dark noir style, not entirely unlike Film Noir, but with wizards, monsters, and demons.![]()
This is a world where magic and enchantments have become common, taking the place of technology and stunting social progress. The story (originally published through Madness Heart Press) surrounds the massive city-state of Cordoba. Inside the walls of Cordoba, the citizens live in fantastic plenty. Outside the walls, the non-citizens live in abject squalor. Here, a new unit of the Pax has been formed to investigate a possible lycanthrope. This would normally be a simple job for the Pax, but through this they uncover an otherworldly conspiracy.

The serial is already up to its 9th issue, but we think it deserves to be a comic! If successful, we will do a full run of the entire serial, which looks like it will top out at 20-25 issues. Finally, we plan to do the whole thing eventually as a graphic novel.

Who is Reed Alexander?
I'm a horror writer from the Capital Region, NY. My writings deal in the horrific, bizarre, and macabre.
The Technonaut Revolution is the first thing I wrote that is purposefully, and specifically for the LGTBQAI community. In fact, the serial has been free and open to trans and nonbinary individuals.
For this serial, I made two promises which I've carried through my writing career as a whole.
1) I will always fight to be as inclusive as possible with my writing. Real life is a diverse place and I have made a commitment to representing the true diversity of our world. My stories will always include individuals of a diverse cast of ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, gender, and disability. I aim for full and proper representation of all people including the LGTBQAI.
2) I will do everything in my power to assure these groups are represented properly by working with advocates from these communities.
The Technonaut Revolution has been an extremely important project to me as it deeply involves social issues I hold very dear. These are issues of equality, both social, and economic. Most importantly, I wanted to give all my LGTBQAI friends something that was specifically theirs, and theirs alone. I'm openly Pansexual, and I wanted this serial to properly represent me, as well as all of my friends, in a way they could be proud.
Even if you just sling me a dollar for this project, it means the world to me. It validates me as a person and as an artist. It might just be one dollar, but to me, it's everything.

What We Need
Our first major hurdle is paying the artist. The current price tag is $2200, at $100 for 22 pages of pencil, ink, and lettering.
I'm also budgeting $200 for the cover art in full color and $100 for two full pages of art.
We'll also need about $300 for printing services and another $300 for shipping/handling globally
I've already paid out about $300 for test pages and rough drafts.
In total: I'm asking for a modest $3000 which might just about break me even if I'm lucky.
