We've ended our campaign early to ensure that our product reflects all of the great feedback and attention it received at CES. We launched with a bang at TechCrunch Hardware Battlefield, got tremendous press attention while at CES, and was very well received by the show attendees…our campaign was viewed over 2000 unique times in the last day! The feedback we received was incredible! We understand that it is difficult to make the leap from our exciting technology to something you may use in your home. We are using the feedback we received to continue developing Cooki, and will relaunch the campaign in a few months when we are ready to showcase our consumer product. We want you to be able to see it, feel it, and visualize it on your kitchen countertop.
We cannot thank you enough for your support, and will be refunding everyone who have already contributed. We truly believe that we are changing the future of cooking food, and Cooki represents a step in that direction. Those who were considering to offer financial support at this stage means the world to us, and we won’t forget it. If you would like to stay in touch, please subscribe to all of the our latest email updates at http://list.sereneti.com/. Recently launched at CES and Techcrunch Hardware Battlefield to great fanfare!

HEALTHY COOKING MADE EASY:
Remember Bender from "Futurama"? Or the Jetsons' Rosie? We love Bender and Rosie! But it's the 21st century, so why aren't they a part of our families yet?
![]()
We at Sereneti Kitchen are proud to introduce COOKI, the
closest thing to a REAL robotic chef that cooks food the way your family
would.

HOW COOKI WORKS:
You're hungry. So you open our app on your smart device (iOS or Android) and peruse a list of recipes from famous chefs, local restaurants, your friends, their grandmothers -- a virtual library of culinary know-how.
Once you pick a recipe, open your fridge or pantry and get out the ingredients: trays of fresh, pre-cut, pre-washed, pre-portioned food, available from Sereneti Kitchen for delivery right to your home.
![]()
Load the food trays into the side of COOKI. Then, just one tap on your smart device gets your meal started. A small robotic arm suspended above a cooking pot and heating surface does the cooking, mimicking human arm motions. Each ingredient is added to the pot at the appropriate time and temperature. Have a look:
When the dish is finished, a message pops up on your device: “Food is ready.” And cleanup is easy, as both the robotic arm and the pot are detachable and washable.
CONSISTENCY OF ROBOTIC COOKING:
This isn't just a concept. COOKI is on her way to becoming real:
Just watch how far we've already come:
Food:
Our meals are priced at about $4-$5 per meal. That's about the same price as a frozen meal for fresh ingredients
and real food! With our ingredient trays preportioned, we help conserve food
and encourage healthier eating habits.

OUR STORY:
Haidee and Helen, two 18-year-old twins in the Atlanta area, founded Sereneti Kitchen with a simple question: If almost everything in our lives happens with the push of a button, why can't we push a button to cook?
![]()
Their mom spends hours making fresh food with healthy ingredients every day, but shouldn't cooking be as easy as pushing a button? The closest thing we have is microwaved food that contains lots of preservatives and tastes bad. That led them to design COOKI, the first robotic, automated cooking machine that uses fresh, wholesome ingredients.

WHAT STIRS US:
Our social mission drives everything we do:
Food Waste/Food Shortage: We portion the exact amount of ingredients you need for each of our chef-inspired meals. Save the rest for others!
![]()
Reducing Obesity/Increasing Access to Good Food: With each meal, we help people save money, eat right, and control their portion size.
![]()
Allergy/Dietary Restrictions/Food Safety: By buying sealed meal kits with specified ingredients ahead of time, you know exactly what you are eating. No guesswork, allergens, or contamination.
![]()
The Impact: Not only does COOKI save you valuable time, but it also conserves food and encourages healthier eating habits.

ROADMAP TO DELIVERY:
![]()
Hardware is hard! Robots are expensive! But we don't believe it should cost an arm to get an arm. We are focused on producing a high quality, robust, repeatable experience while trying to keep our (and your) costs in line with a small appliance or high end kitchen gadget. While we're confident that we can be successful, there are a number of things that can pop up, including:
- Design delays (selecting materials and mechanisms)
- Fabrication and testing delays
- Trouble finding the right manufacturing partner
- Manufacturing delays
- First article quality issues
- Longevity and robustness issues
We firmly belief in putting our money where our mouth is. We have bootstrapped ourselves and partnered with Georgia Tech Research Institute to develop the professional prototype. We perfected a cost-effective robotic arm that cooks just like you would. Moving forward, we are looking to complete a 10 month development timeline, at a target cost of about $1M. Your campaign contribution will not only help us cover expenses for design and tooling, but will also help us raise additional capital that we need to make one-button cooking a reality!
Robotics technology is improving every year, in academic labs and at companies like ours. The sky is the limit in terms of what we can build, with the right support. We envision a day where Cooki is but one device in a network of connected kitchen robots, working in harmony to wash, cut, prepare, cook, and serve food to you and your family. We envision a day where Cooki will interface with your existing cooktops, ranges, and refrigerators, becoming a more seamless part of your kitchen. We envision a day where you can use Foodi to control a friend's Cooki half way around the world. But we need to start somewhere. This campaign represents the first step in a long journey, and we hope you will come with us!
FAQ:
Can your team really deliver on this?
Yes. We have a team with deep robotics experience that will make the device a reality. Our first prototype was built jointly with Georgia Tech Research Institute, one of the best engineering organizations in the world. We have already had in-depth discussions with manufacturers and suppliers to create a realistic timeline to deliver the product.
What material is the COOKI made out of?
Our first COOKI devices will be injection-molded plastic with a beautiful polished exterior, unlike the aluminum prototype that we have currently built to show the technology works. We will also consider a variation with a brushed stainless-steel finish in the future.
Tooling. Currently, we have built prototypes. They are hand constructed, which is not optimal for mass production. We will be injection molding parts for the device, and that's where we need your assistance! There are 30 parts to the machine that need to be injection molded, and making a cast for each part is an additional financial resource.
