Cosmic Convergence is in its' third year, and is seeking to expand positive impact and existing initiatives. It is a non-profit fundraiser event with a record of leaving a positive impact on local community projects in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, and on the individual, collective, and social levels. For the past two years, the event has successfully delivered financial, human, and material resources to local projects, including a school, a nutrition center, and an indigenous womens’ textile cooperative. It is a blueprint for other event producers to model internationally.
NOTE: PAYPAL DONATIONS PREFERRED - this way we can access the funds immediately for use.
-
Cosmic Convergence incorporates art, music, education for conscious living, and Mayan culture & traditions. We cultivate connections and relationships between cultures, individuals, and projects, forming a resilient and sustainably funded network for those wishing to learn, explore and transition into regenerative lifestyles and ways of being.
-
Imagine Cosmic Convergence as a portal of entry to step into an emerging planetary culture that reconnects with indigenous ways of being in relation to the earth, and the self. Through converging, individuals from diverse cultures will be exposed to new and ancient ways of being. We are modeling how arts can serve to raise money and other resources to benefit local community projects. We are demonstrating a more regenerative way of life, while pioneering templates and blueprints for a festival designed to leave a positive impact. We plan to export these templates internationally through workshops and educational endeavors at other events.

Short Summary
Cosmic Convergence is a convergence of past, present, and future, envisioning the new paradigm of a technological-tribal society that is becoming more tangible each day. The event is 100% non-profit and all proceeds go towards supporting social projects on Lake Atitlan, where we work with indigenous communities to grow a greener future. By exposing attendees to ancestral and post-industrial ways of living, our consciousness is provoked to rethink what lifestyles are possible today. The gathering forms part of an ongoing international revival of age-old ways of convening in community. Through exposure to Mayan and indigenous cultures through music, arts, story, & spirituality, participants learn about other contemporary ways of being with self, community, and nature. In this way, we can heal our relationships and reconnect to the cycle of life.
The event budget is designed in a way that maximizes amount of dollars flowing directly into local economy and especially to indigenous cooperatives and businesses that benefit from tourism. The event attracts human and financial resources to affiliated projects in the region. It brings awareness to the opportunities we have to transition into a regenerative way of living through demonstration and education of appropriate technologies, permaculture, natural building, and holistic well-being (yoga, meditation). We are developing a long-term relationship with a landowner that is open to building up infrastructure through future events, opening the space for permanent structures.
What We Need
To purchase food from local farmers’ groups to feed volunteers and participants, to hire local hotels & transportation companies, and other businesses to take care of hospitality needs of artists, volunteers, and participants. Additionally, to hire local and regional artist cooperatives & musicians coming to share their gifts at the event. This is an amazing opportunity for artists to gain more exposure. ($15000)
To purchase materials for sustainable infrastructure (water filters, kitchen materials, building materials) that will be repurposed in community projects after festival ($3000)
To finance the overall production of the festival fundraiser which is a non-profit benefit event for indigenous communities

The Impact
For the past two years, Cosmic Convergence has successfully partnered with other organizations to deliver financial, human, and material resources to local projects, including a school, a nutrition center, and an indigenous womens’ textile cooperative. It has also brought direct financial support to local artists, farmers' cooperatives, and other local artisans. Additionally, it has brought tens of thousands of dollars in increased tourism revenue to the region. It has also inspired the birth of a Colombian partner festival (Festival de la Tierra). We would like to expand this impact in our third year, focusing on the social, individual, and collective levels of impact.
