METRONOME CITY
Hi! My name is Jeff Bostic and I'm an artist, freelance curator, and long-time nonprofit worker in the Bay Area -- inspired to raise money to support other artists who are taking financial hits as a result of Covid-19.
In response, I've curated a show of over 35 artists, poets, DJs, comedians, makers and 50+ pieces in “Metronome City” @ The Midway galleries. And our intention is to collectively raise funds to provide artists with increased financial stability, aiming to pay everyone $100+. No one is getting rich off this project; it is about survival and pushing forward through hard times.
Yet your contributions will fuel the next filmmaker or painter to keep on keepin on by creating art that will inspire. It will send a message that art is essential to the human spirit in San Francisco. This is precisely why I've deemed the show title “Metronome City” -- inspired from one of my artistic influences, Yoko Ono. It was her famous quote that rings so true today “Artists are going to be the metronome of this society.”

EARLY CLOSING GALLERY ACCESS
For a $10 contribution, you'll have early access to the closing gallery in August. The closing gallery will be a curated show of short films, music videos, and more of Bay Artist that have the pulse of the Bay Area plus live DJ event. The gallery video will be available for two weeks after on the Midway SF channel and then showcased on Youtube! If you have a projector or large flat screen you can use these collection of visuals at your next party!
