About COWBOY MOUTH
by Sam Shephard & Patti Smith
Two misfits, Slim and Cavale, are holed up in what seems to be a basement apartment. Cavale has kidnapped Slim from his wife and child with big plans to turn him into a Rock Star. Cowboy Mouth is Sam Shepard's most auto-biographical play and was written with Patti Smith at the Chelsea Hotel. This production starts off as a party and transforms into a visceral, immersive performance equipped with drinks and live music.
This production is a benefit for the historical Paul Robeson Theater in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. All box office proceeds will help bring the Paul Robeson Theater back to life with hopes to expand its audience within the Brooklyn community.
