I will be applying to the Jewellery Art and Design program at Vancouver Community College this fall. For my project, I have decided to take my passion for crystals, stones and jewellery design, and to create a portfolio of my own designs. To do so, I need the funding to be able to purchase the necessary materials. Once I have the materials, I can create all of the pieces that I design to further add to my portfolio.
I joined a gem and mineral club last year which allowed me the opportunity to take an introduction to metalsmithing and lapidary, and have been in love with it ever since I started. Depicted above is some of my previous work from what I have created since joining the club. I hope to create further designs using the same techniques and skills that I have learned by making these pieces. I simply need somewhere to start.
