Dalliance is Marisa's final film while at Columbia's Master of Fine Arts Program, making this her Thesis Project. Film Students are required to fund their own films. As student filmmakers, our funds are sadly limited.

It's been a whole year since Scott, a newly famous younger actor, began dating Andrea, an older married woman and a German director.

Writer/Director: Marisa Christine Medina
Marisa is a 5th year Directing MFA Candidate at Columbia University, making Dalliance her Thesis. From 2004 to 2005 she worked as a Casting Assistant in Los Angeles with reputable Casting Directors: Sarah Finn, Randi Hiller (“Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story”, “Gridiron Gang”) and Barbara Fiorentino (“The Shield”). She later went on to work in the corporate environment, which forced her confront and embrace her creativity. After taking Screenwriting courses at UCLA Extension and attending Robert McKee’s Story Seminar she decided to further her artistic education at the Ivy League level. She has since directed three short films. Her Non-Thesis, “Fault Lines”, received Faculty Honors at Columbia’s Film Festival 2014 and had it’s world premier at the Austin Film Festival 2014.

Producer: Joanna Lagstein Jacobi
Joanna Lagstein Jacobi is a NY-based writer/producer. Her films have screened at Outfest, Palm Springs Film Festival, New Filmmakers LA, Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, Inside OUT LGBT Film Festival, Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, Boston LGBT Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Portland International Film Festival, the San Jose International Short Film Festival and many more. Joanna received her M.F.A. in film from Columbia University School of the Arts and graduated with honors from University of Pennsylvania with a dual degree in Communication & English. Joanna also served as a Teaching Assistant to renowned film critic & professor, Annette Insdorf for several years. When she's not busy being a production & development machine, Joanna is a Marketing consultant for U.S. based Television companies. She has worked with Bravo, pivot TV, MTV Networks, HBO, and many others. She currently resides in NYC with her husband, Scott.

Associate Producer: Lady Mercedes Brito
Mercedes Brito comes to New York City via way of her home state of North Carolina, where she attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received her Bachelor of Arts in Film Production. While living in North Carolina, along with directing and editing her own work, Mercedes served as a Casting Assistant for Bunim-Murray Productions for The Real World Season 25 and as a Director’s Assistant for the independent feature Bone Creek. She also worked on the UNCG Imaging-Civil Rights Project. Since moving to New York, Mercedes has completed an internship with Magnolia Pictures and worked on a variety of projects and mediums including, most recently, the feature film Lust Life, Seeking Sublet (now featured on FunnyorDie.com), and Dalliance.
