Whats it about?
Day One is a 10 part fantasy horror series that is set in two distinct time-zones, modern day and 10 years later, it revolves around Carolin Casey, an 11 year old girl from a NORMAL family in manchester. On Day One Carolins world collapses around her as a mysterious affliction destroys the world as she knows it, losing her brother, sister, mother and father in the process. We follow Carolin as she tries to survive in a post apocalyptic Manchester, always striving to find out what has happened to her family. An elusive man always at periphery of vision, stalks her, and where he walks necromancy is never far behind
Whats it really about?
Family! The lengths we would all go to make sure our family are safe and well, the mistakes parents sometimes make and how the decisions those parents make can have long lasting effects on their children for many years to come, all told from the perspective of a lonely 11 year old girl. We explore all this and more but from a child's perspective and try to give our viewers an insight into the secret world our children live in.
Think the Walking Dead mixed with fantasy elements, this is not your run of the mill zombie(but they are not zombies) series, you won't find any chemical/nuclear fallout or pandemic viruses in Day One, apart from the occasional cold perhaps. In fact its not about the zombies(but they are not zombies) at all, the core concept is about family and losing someone you love, and the things kids do when faced with an extreme situation.
What We Need
We have already shot 2/3rd's of the pilot and we have a few more scenes left to shoot, the tough part is, these are either post apocalyptic or have large numbers of people in them. These scenes are scheduled to take a further 4-5 days
Stills from what we have already shot
What we need is enough money to make these last few scenes to get the pilot completed. To date we have spent around £4500, some of that came from a previous Indiegogo campaign a total of £1503, the rest has been raised by the producers or come from our own pockets.
To really do it justice we need another £3500

Who Are Clouded Sight Pictures?
Started in 2014 by Actor's David Christopher Turner and Alex De Luca, Clouded Sight Pictures was launched as a platform to work on the projects we want to make.
David Turner has been a performer for many years starting as a singer and guitarist at the age of 15 and gigging across the country in various bands, then 6 years ago, he found his true calling, acting and film making. Starting in the acting industry later in life than some, David enjoyed some small success and can be seen in several worldwide or national commercials, including the "Dads Voice" commercial and the Loctite glue worldwide campaign. He also features in Perfect Skin starring Richard Brake(Game of Thrones, Doom) as well as playing lead roles in multiple short and feature length independent films. As a film maker David is capable of doing everything, but he gravitates towards writing, producing, directing, editing and VFX and has been teaching the kids of Pauline Quirke Academy Bury how to make their own films for the past 18 months as the Film and TV teacher.
David and Alex have worked on several projects either together or separately but they all stay true to the Clouded Sight ethos. If you want to get to know who Clouded Sight Pictures are and where we came from be sure to check out Independent Dreams, a documentary that delves into both mine and Alex's private life as we start to try and make our first films.

When its finished what will happen?
Originally this was intended as a free web series, but since we started shooting in June 2018, we have been approached by representatives from CBS, Channel 4 and Sky, all of whom want to see what we can do with the pilot. To say I'm excited is an understatement as there is a very real possibility of Day One Series 1 being commissioned.
However if none of that pans out we will continue the series as a web series as long as the fans still want to see more.
The perks
We have just added an exclusive to Indiegogo, signed character A3 character poster, this wont be available anywhere else, so get in quick before time runs out. Choose from Carolin Casey, Paul Morel, The Man or Zephaniah.
Where will the money go?
The original budget was £6,000, unfortunately due to locations cancelling last minute and various other issues, the budget has had to be increased to £8,000. Of that £8,000, £4500 has already been raised and spent on, costume, makeup, locations, expenses, props and a myriad of other things. £1557 was raised by the previous Indiegogo campaign and our producers David and Alex have provided the deficit of £2,943. Now we need a further £3,500 to get it completed and that is broken down as follows.
Locations : £1500
Cast and Crew Expenses : £1000
SFX makeup and costume : £580
Crowdfund fees : £420
The Cast
We are honoured to welcome both experienced and young talented actors to the production.
