The team behind The Baby in the Basket are excited to announce our new suspense thriller Death Among the Pines, which has just wrapped principal photography (as announced by Rue Morgue) and now seeking help with post-production/finishing funds. 

The Baby in the Basket was released in the US and UK in February and is currently streaming on Prime Video and Tubi as well as a DVD release in the UK where it has spent the past 5 weeks in the Official UK DVD Chart. It also received a theatrical release in the Philippines and has garnered international press including major outlets such as The Guardian, Fangoria, Coming Soon, Bloody Disgusting, Collider, Dread Central, Film Stories, Joblo, and Rue Morgue

Now we are shifting gears from Gothic horror to suspense thriller for our next feature film DEATH AMONG THE PINES - and we want you to join us for the ride!

In a remote farmhouse in the Scottish countryside, housewife Angela receives a knock on her door from a damp and dirty stranger claiming to have burst a tyre and seeking refuge from a storm. Angela warily lets him in to shelter, but her suspicions are aroused when she learns the local police are conducting a manhunt for an escaped killer. Matters are complicated further when a police officer turns up asking questions, not only about the fugitive, but the whereabouts of Angela’s mysteriously absent husband Eddie.

As we prepare to enter the post-production stage, we're running an Indiegogo campaign to raise finishing funds to help with post-production costs, festival submissions and our planned marketing campaign for the film. OUR WRITER:

Tom Jolliffe is a writer with extensive experience in feature film. He specialises in genre films and has written more than two dozen features including War of the Worlds: The Attack, star-studded action thriller Renegades and Cinderella’s Revenge from Commando director Mark L. Lester. His script for our previous feature The Baby in the Basket, has already won 6 awards.

Our small but dedicated crew bring their wealth of experience to the screen and their focus on quality cinematography and sound will (hopefully!) be the cornerstone of this feature film - adding depth, visual intrigue and subtext to the story.

Production: We have already independently financed the production stage and filming will wrap in March 2025. We anticipate no issues with regards to production and are confident that the film will be completed, therefore perks are guaranteed.

Timing: We do have to bring the film in on time and deliver all of your perks, meaning that we need to stay on the ball, be working on it constantly and set ourselves realistic goals and deadlines to deliver a great film. With filming almost complete, our entire focus will be on the post-production stage, allowing us to focus on making the film as good as it possibly can be, as well as preparing an effective marketing strategy.

Distribution: Nothing is ever certain with distribution, but as with The Baby in the Basket, we are primarily targeting a streaming release on major platforms. However, naturally we will look to secure the best possible release, with a marketing and promotional campaign similar to that of The Baby in the Basket .

What happens if the campaign doesn't reach its goal?

We will complete the film regardless of the total raised, although it may take us a little longer and we'll need to reduce our promotional plans should we fall short of our target. However, rest assured you will still receive all of your perks.
