Well here we are again……after you guy’s helped us successfully crowd fund our self released debut album '69 Candy Street' & 2nd album 'In Over Our Heads' It’s time for another journey together!
So, 2020 has been a testing year for so many of us (with music fans & musicians being no exception.) Live music has pretty much disappeared for the time being which has left a huge void in so many of our lives....BUT, the positive news is...lockdown has been a fantastic time for musicians to create more music, as a result Death of Guitar Pop have 13 new songs ready to record & release in the form of a BRAND NEW ALBUM 'PUKKA SOUNDS.'
We can't state enough that we are constantly BLOWN AWAY by the support from you guys. This band and our friends (you fans) are a true ska family, having fun in our own little world, brought together by a mutual love of musical styles & subcultures that simply aren’t present in the mainstream media. It’s up to us to keep flying the flag together!
With no record label or external management (Just our small team of Silky, Top Kat & Bradderz) we have been continuing to build something direct and personal with you fans, you guys have been asking for a new album for a while now so lets GO GO GO!

So, (as you guys know) work on this album is already fully underway, all the songs are written - we just need to get in the studio & record it. The plan is to have new singles out by the end of the year & the new album out in 2021.
Being completely DIY, funded by ourselves & our fans - we reinvest any money we make as a band straight into new releases, videos, merchandise & more PR so we can continue to nurture & grow our audience independently. Platforms such as crowdfunding & our fan club are the financial lifeblood of our band (especially whilst we are unable to play shows) so please (only if you're in a position to do so, we understand for many these are difficult times financially) dig deep & support us as musicians!
Based on sales figures for both of our current albums, this album could well be on course to be our first album in the official album charts....you are the ones that will make this happen, we believe in you :)
