About the Degrees of Separation Awareness Campaign

Many believe obtaining a college degree is the bridge to a successful career and other opportunities.  But with numerous college graduates currently unemployed, underemployed, and in student loan debt - many find themselves separated from the opportunities they expected. That’s why Degrees of Separation was founded.

Degrees of Separation is a campaign to raise awareness surrounding the issues of unemployment and underemployment among college graduates. It is our mission to effect change and find tangible solutions to help transform a generation of college grads plagued by these pressing issues.

We Believe:

  • An investment into higher education should yield an adequate rate of return such as career accessibility and stability.
  • A college education should not come with the burden of excessive student loan debt.

We Seek To:

  • Equip individuals with useful resources and helpful information on job development and career alternatives.
  • Effect change in the higher educations system related to how it approaches the issues of student loan debt, joblessness and underemployment of college grads.
  • Empower college grads to utilize their current educational background to promote social entrepreneurship in order to decrease their rates of unemployment and underemployment.

Your Support and Donations Will Help To Transform a Generation

Funds will go towards developing a documentary film that will feature economists, sociologists, lawmakers, higher education experts and college graduates. The purpose of the film is present and address the issues of unemployment and underemployment among college grads in hopes to find tangible solutions to this pressing issue.

Funds will also go towards essential campaign materials such as developing a website where individuals can gain access to resources related to career development and career networking as well as to have a forum where they can dialogue and connect.

With your support we can raise awareness and help transform a generation of college grads plagued by unemployment and underemployment.
