Short Summary

Film Summary - In this thought-provoking horror film, a passionate quantum physicist and his graduate student build a quantum computer that is capable of answering the ultimate existential question, what is real? They find the answer is not a pleasant one, as what was initially meant to be a crowning scientific advancement for mankind quickly turns into an all out blood bath. Meet the Director!
![]()
Hey everyone! I'm Corey, a filmmaker/writer/musician and entrepreneur out of Austin, TX. I'm known for writing and directing award winning films. I'm also co-owner of two Halloween theme parks in Texas, Bat City Scaregrounds and Nightmare on 19th Street. My writer/directorial debut was a horror short called The Witch’s Bargain (2021) that won over 50 international film festival awards. Since then, I've moved on to direct and produce two other feature length horror films, The Black Quarry (now streaming!) and Damsel of the Doomed (in film festivals). I am Executive Producer and part owner of HW Productions, LLC (DBA HorrorWeb), a film production company based in Austin, TX that has gathered a sizable social media following.
After the success of my two previous micro-budget films, The Black Quarry and Damsel, I wanted to sink my teeth into a larger-scale film that merged two opposing sides of my personality - science and horror. I have been a physicist for 25 years, routinely working in the fields of A.I. and quantum computers, both sources of modern technological anxieties. Who better to explore these modern tech fears in a horror film?!? I began writing DemonCode in 2023. While writing, I strongly focused on what I felt are elements that have lead to popular horror franchises such as Hellraiser and Nightmare on Elm Street, two of these elements being story and larger-than-life characters/creatures. I could easily see any of DemonCode's creatures on tattoos at horror conventions across America, for example. As far as a franchizable story, I have already started DemonCode 2! Since writing DemonCode, the script has gone on to win numerous awards for its horror elements, exploration into subjective/objective realism and simulated realities. Being a subject matter expert in the science behind the film has definitely given it authenticity!
This film, and the franchise I hope to create with it, is my pièce de résistance as an artist. I am absolutely obsessed with bringing it to life as it pulls together the dichotomy of my life as an artist and scientist. I know myself, and give enough resources and with your help, I have no doubt that this film will be an epic start to the next blockbuster horror franchise!

What We Need & What You Get
The goal of this campaign is to raise funds for the film's creature design, which has already started! The film has a total of 4 killer creatures, each uniquely designed to be horrifyingly alien with digital embellishments Three of the film's creatures are called "Outworlders", and the fourth is "The Maker". I'm excited to have creature creator extraordinaire Matt Valentine (Faceoff, Global Fear, etc) attached for the Outworlders, and my friend and creature designer from The Black Quarry, Kayla Stojek (Zombie Peepshow) for The Maker. Mandi Phantomm (Devil's Little Sister) will also be assisting with the creature design.
Matt Valentine will be creating the Outworlder creatures in DemonCode.

Your contributions will help pay for all four of the film's creatures! Work has already been started, and the first creature, a female OutWorlder, will be completed by mid-June. I am excited to have well-known creature actress Megan Franich (30 Days of Night, etc) attached as this creature!
Megan Franich from 30 Days of Night is now cast the female Outworlder in DemonCode.
Why donate?
- to support innovative and unique indie films and independent artists! Let's get away from redundant Hollywood productions and remake after remake!
- for the perks of course! Perks for this campaign include a private party with the film's creatures at the end of the year, VIP passes to Bat City Scaregrounds, and more!
- to be a part of the next blockbuster horror franchise! You can say you were there from the start! Your support through the years has led me and the HorrorWeb team to this pivotal moment in our film careers, and I feel like with this one final thrust, there will be an avalanche of success for us -- all because of you!
The Impact
If you know me, whether in a personal or superficial capacity, you know that I have a successful track-record of taking on and delivering large-scale film, theme park and music projects. Simply put, I commit to excellence and will not settle. If supplied with enough funds/resources, I will dedicate every bit of myself to make sure DemonCode will be the next successful horror film franchise. My goal with this film is to elevate myself, my crew and my actors to Hollywood-level notoriety without Hollywood by creating an impactful film that explores growing fears of modern day technology and simulated reality!
