If you have been blessed now would be a good time to share that blessing.
These three deserving people are very close to me and I am doing
all I can personally to help. Michelle, herself a beautiful young lady, has had a rough trip the last 12 years raising two children completely on her own. These two precious young ones are: beautiful Genny, the most loving, caring, giving 12 year old you'd ever meet; And Shane, a handsome, sensitive guy of 5 with intelligence beyond his years.
They are scheduled to move to Bradenton, Florida to be close to Michelle's brother and his family just before Christmas. So, of course, her 2003 Saturn just decides its not going to Florida and up and dies. Transmission goes out. $4500 to replace it. Car's not worth that much. Especially since we just replaced the transmission 2 years ago for a total cost of about $4000. (the warranty is ONE year of course) So now the scheduled move date is coming up fast and she has no way of making the trip.
What follows is her story. I wanted to edit it because
there is much more to be said but here is her basic request in her words:
Please help!
I am a single mom of two young children.
42 days before a long-awaited and very necessary 1,300
mile trip back to our home state of Florida, the transmission in my car bites
the dust...again! This is the second time this has happened in the
past two years!
I have no money. I have two young children.
We are 1,300 miles away from home. And we are in desperate need of a
safe, reliable vehicle. Not only do we need it for our long road trip,
but also for daily functioning and needs once we get there.
Everything is set up in Florida. We have a subsidized apartment
waiting for us, my kids are enrolled in school, I have job leads, and our
family anxiously awaits our return! But we can't get there without a
vehicle.
I am hoping and praying to raise enough money to purchase an inexpensive but safe, reliable
vehicle for myself and my children with enough left over for the trip to Florida. Any help is greatly
appreciated. I have little to offer any contributors, other than my
sincere, heart-felt thanks on behalf of my family and myself and some token gifts from my children and myself.
Getting home is not a luxury, it's a necessity.
Waiting on God's Grace......
