You can combine every bloks we have to build your perfect desk, in the future we will have some various combinations of size, weight, shapes and functionality of our bloks.

Now there are available choice of only 5 different bloks, but as our campaign continue we will make others and new one to match your perfect desk, and we will give some of you chance to design bloks for us, and even you will get paid for every bloks that is designed from you after we sell it, for ever and ever.

Deskbloks is something new and revolutionary in desk design. Your desk no longer needs to be simplistic. Now, with Deskbloks, you can make it larger, smaller, you can rotate it, make it fit any of your walls, add new bloks with some cool gadgets that will save your space, etc.

If you want to use Deskbloks as a regular desk, no problem, you can use just regular bloks. But if you need USB ports, for example, then you can use bloks with USB ports. Hey, but what about a speaker? Maybe you don’t have enough room on your desk or you simply hate the cables. No problem - in that case, you can use bloks with a USB speaker built-in.

In today’s modern times, you probably own a smartphone. We thought of that as well, with bloks that have wireless charger built-in.

What about cables for your PC or a laptop? All our bloks are designed with cable management in mind, that’s why we created channels in bloks and holes in desk legs for cables to pass through. Cable mess behind your desk is history!

At the moment, there are 5 different bloks that we created. With your help and if the crowdfunding campaign proves to be a success, we will create additional bloks.

Some of you will even get a chance to design their own bloks.

The great thing about that is - you earn percentage of profit from sales of that particular bloks, as long as that bloks keeps selling! Possibilities for bloks are endless.

Currently, for our prototype, we are only using one type of wood - the Croatian oak, but in the future, we will allow our customers to choose between more types of wood, depending on their preferences of desk color, structure and design.

Our bloks are connectable in all directions, providing for infinite possibilities. It takes less than a few minutes to connect 6 types of bloks, together with legs, into a fully functional desk.

The process is easy:

• Pick your bloks, then group and arrange them as you wish
• Put them on the backside
• Use our metal plates and screws to secure them together
• Add legs
• Done

The same process is used for adding new bloks and reversed for disassembly.

The idea of Deskbloks goes a few years back. We saw Dave Hakkens, a Dutch designer and his concept of a modular mobile phone - Phonebloks, and later Project Ara from Google, with a similar design.

We decided that we wanted to build a modular PC case, but that proved to be challenging, so we came to an idea to build a modular desk.

First it was supposed to be only a simple case/desk, but one day I played Lego with my little cousin and we built a desk out of Legos. That’s when I came to an idea for Deskbloks (the name came later).

After some research on the Web, we saw that no one has made anything like it. One day we were watching Lord of the Rings at our friend’s house and talked about this idea. They liked it, and one of the friends shouted “One desk to rule them all!”

We liked it and stuck to that motto till today.

After that, we started working on Deskbloks. In our first versions we used cheap wood but soon discarded it since it proved not to be up to our desired quality level. We decided that from now on, we’ll only be using a good, hard wood, resistant to wear by time, weather conditions, and temperatures and chose to go with the world famous Croatian oak.

During the production time, we usually get ideas for new bloks, but since we don’t have our own CNC machinery, we had to pay others to make them for us, which had impact on our budget and we were thus able to produce only 5 different bloks.

Build to last.

Our team now counts 2 members only. Our head of production is Stephan, who has a degree in IT engineering and computer science.

Tony is our assistant, who constantly helps around the project and was here from the start, together with Stephan.

We started as a team of 5, but in the meantime, some of our members found jobs in other areas and left the project. In spare time, they still try to help with ideas and such, but we hope they’ll be back some time after the campaign so we can be a full team again.

For every contributor we have prepared some awards which, we think, will show our gratitude for helping us with the project.

We think Deskbloks is a good concept and some work is already done. We have a working prototype and are ready to make more.

No matter the outcome, our goal is to get Deskbloks to market and to your place. We don’t plan to give up on the project, it is our passion.

MANUFACTURING: It takes about 1-2 days to create one regular bloks. But, to minimize the production cost and time, we are looking into and talking to a few bigger companies that have better machines, and if the campaign is successful, we will probably rent our own machines and hire more people, therefore decreasing the build time and increasing the quality even further.

PRODUCT: Current desk is not final, we like to say it’s desk numbered 000, a kind of prototype. The final product will differ from desk 000, but in a good way. Our desks and bloks will improve in many ways over time and you will be updated about it. We will also accept and consider your suggestions.

SHIPPING: After the successful campaign end, we will rent the machines and hire more people, so we can get going faster. We hope that we could start sending our first shipments in the Q1/Q2 2017. Special care needs to be taken of packaging, because different wood reacts differently (shrinks and widens) to weather conditions, humidity, temperature, etc. Therefore, in order to get them to their destination in perfect condition, some desks can be shipped sooner and some later.

We are very confident and excited about the project. We believe we're further down the development path than most similar projects on crowdfunding sites. You will be informed on weekly basis and in the event of an unexpected situation, we will work hard to minimize the impact on delivery times.
