Here's the deal.
My name is DJ ThunderKatt. I love music, and more I love books! I believe that everyone should have books and music in their lives. On February 9th, I was set to play a charity benifit show, with all proceeds going to Children's Literacy charities in the Denver area.
Two hours before the show, the sound on my laptop blew out.
With the help of the M.C. for the weekend, we were able to save the show, and raise LOADS of money for charity.
However, without the sound on my laptop, I am unable to play shows. I am unable to bring the happiness and joy of music and dance to people. I am unable to facilitate the journey for my fans.
What I need.
The best DJ's use Mac equipment, and there is a reason for that. Macs are the gold standard for audio work. The tradeoff, of course, is their cost. Cost Prohibitive is an understatement. Thanks to the brilliant guys over at TonyMacX86 they have overcome the cost limitation by using compatible hardware and working with Apple developers to bring the capabilities of the MacOS to PC hardware, for those willing to take the leap, and put forth the work.
For $800, a fraction of the cost or a MacMini, I can build a upper-mid-range Mac with PC hardware, that will be faster, more stable, and the ability to upgrade as time goes on.
Using this, I can get BACK to making music, and offering my love to the world, in the best way I know how!
In return for your kind donations, I will be offering you my thanks through the gifts that I have outlined on the right.
More to the point, I have set the funding for this project to be All-or-Nothing, this means that if I do not meet my goal, you don't pay a thing. But if I meet my goal, then I will be able to continue living my dream.
Any funds raised in excess of the goal will be used to purchase higher end upgrades, to increase the longevity at the outset.
How you can help.
Everything helps, a good thought, a "Share" or a "Like" on Facebook, a single dollar, five. It is not very often that someone gets the chance to live their dream, to touch the lives of everyone that they interact with. I LOVE what I do, I LOVE making music, sharing my JOY with everyone who comes to hear me play. But now, I don't have the chance to share that. So I am asking for some help. If even something as small as telling someone else about this.
Thank you. You have my utmost appreciation and gratitude.
