SHORT SYNOPSIS
Harriet Germain is a thirty-year-old successful artist. She lives and works in her loft in New York City. One early summer day, her art dealer Sam introduces her to Katy, the new girl in town. Harriet quickly becomes attracted to Katy and offers her to come live with her to become her muse. Katy accepts. As the summer is ending, Katy receives a phone call from her ex-husband and decides to go meet him and leaves Harriet. Once Katy has left her, Harriet spirals into an abyss of alcohol and self-pity.
ABOUT THE FILM
Dominance is a short film directed, produced, and written by David Tiby. The film stars Jeananne Goossen (ALCATRAZ, HOUSE OF LIES) and Annie Monroe (HOUSE OF LIES). This romantic drama focuses on the life of artist Harriet Germain and her self-destructive relationships with her studio assistant Alex, her art dealer Sam, and her muse Katy. It is a story about the use of sex and money for the attainment of love and power.
We shot the film on location in beautiful downtown LA. And we are currently raising funds for post-production and festival submissions. The first festival we are submitting it to is the Berlin International Film Festival.
All the donations you will contribute to the film's finishing funds will be directed towards covering various expenses such as: dialogue editor, fx editor, foley editor, sound mixer, sound engineer, and music.

JEANANNE GOOSSEN - Harriet Germain
Jeananne is currently co-starring in the new NBC prime time pilot AFTER HOURS opposite Eoin Macken and Feddy Rodriguez. She is also currently recurring on the new CW series, EMILY OWENS, MD, opposite Mamie Gummer. She was recently cast in the coveted female lead role in Kevin Williamson’s Fox pilot, THE FOLLOWING, opposite Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. Jeananne was last seen in theaters starring opposite Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in the hit film THE VOW, Screen Gems’ highest-opening movie ever. She has recently recurred on the JJ Abrams series, ALCATRAZ for Fox, as well as recurring roles on NCIS and CSI: NY. Jeananne is half Chinese, speaks fluent Japanese and French, is formally trained in Martial Arts and studied Biochemistry at McGill University in Montreal.
ANNIE MONROE - Katy
Annie Monroe is an LA native. After graduating from NYU with a degree in The Social History of Media, Annie played the organ with the all girl rock band THE LIKE whose most recent album was produced by Amy Winehouse producer Mark Ronson. They toured internationally and Annie settled in London where she worked as a musician, actress and DJ. Now back in LA, Annie has an upcoming role in Showtime's HOUSE OF LIES and a part in JAKE SQUARED (a feature film starring VIrginia Madsen and Jennifer Jason Leigh). She is also working on the musical score of a film she is starring in that will shoot in Scotland in 2013.
IRIS FIELDS - Sam
Born and raised in New York City, Iris acted in theatre plays in Manhattan until she moved to Los Angeles, where she acted for John Cassavetes in A WOMAN OF MISTERY, for John Schlesinger in AN EYE FOR AN EYE, and for Francis Ford Coppola in GODFATHER II. She recently acted in the web series DRAGON AGE and in the upcoming feature film WHAT REMAINS OF ROBERT (2013).
KRISTINE SARYAN - Alex
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, and trained in ballet from an early age, Kristine Saryan began her acting training as soon as she arrived in the United States at the age of eleven. Inspired by her idols Anna Pavlova and Julia Roberts, Kristine made her television debut in the critically acclaimed and award winning GILMORE GIRLS as Miss Patty's dance instructor, Chrissy. She is currently in rehearsals for the upcoming indie film RIMBAUD’S UMBRELLA, starring Peter Stormare (MINORITY REPORT) and Angela Sarafyan (TWILIGHT SAGA).

DAVID TIBY - Director, Producer, Writer
David Tiby is a writer, director, and producer who is currently living in Los Angeles, where he is writing and producing ISLAND, his feature film directorial debut. He is also working on his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Before moving to Los Angeles, he lived in New York City where he worked as the US Editor of Flash Art International magazine, before directing Vanina Holasek Gallery, working with artists such as Banksy and Francesco Clemente. In 2008 he started directing, producing, and writing television documentaries on the art world for European television, including Italian state television RAI. In those years he also worked as an actor in films such as the independent comedy FAILING BETTER NOW (2010) and TERRAFERMA (2011), directed by Emanuele Crialese and winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 68th Venice International Film Festival. David Tiby was born in Italy and grew up in London and San Francisco. He received his BA degree in Medieval Art History and Economics.
MATTHEW HALLA - Cinematographer
Matthew won his first Emmy Award in 2012. He is currently working on his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. The power of the image to transcend words and touch the viewer on the spiritual level of the soul is what drives him to create. His first love is the documentary but he also writes, shoots, and directs narrative fiction film.

Anna Akana is a writer and actress who is currently producing her first big budget feature - RILEY REWIND.
ROBB NAVRIDES - Post-Production Sound Supervisor
Robb is the Post-Production Supervisor of shows such as DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, ARMY WIVES, UGLY BETTY, and LAW & ORDER. In his career he has perfected the post-production sound of over 90 films and television series.
