What are we about?
We are a hard rock band from the DFW area. Our passion entails people and music, with a desire to bring hope and mercy while addressing difficult issues within our culture. We hope to inspire people to seek truth rather than what is easy and to stay open in a world that is selfish.
We are headed back to Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, TN with producer Travis Wyrick this July and this fundraiser will help us get there. You've probably heard some of the songs we'll be recording if you've come to a show within the last 9 months and we can honestly say it's some of the most vulnerable, truthful music we've ever written. We've seen an amazing impact in the listeners who have experienced it live and we are excited to bring it to a multitude of people.
We've been raising support since January through various mediums and this campaign is focused specifically on album related material. We desire to tell a story with this album not just through music but also with visual representations of each song which will be featured in the album booklet. Any support helps whether it be $5, $100 or just encouragement through words or prayer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Why we need support & what you get out of it
We've set the goal of this fundraiser at $4,000 which will only cover half of the recording costs. After recording there is a process called mastering and then the music is put into physical cd's that are available through this campaign and at live shows. Your support helps us accomplish all these things while getting yourself customized merch through this fundraiser.
We enjoyed creating the perk packages and each one is named after a weapon (or a combo that we came up with) or character from a video game (because we LOVE gaming!). One of the most exciting items we are excited to create and offer is our album lyric booklet. We wanted to fuse music and art for this album and the booklet will have the song lyrics to all the songs on the album, the meaning and inspiration for the songs, and a visual representation of each song by a local artist. We're also offering some really neat, one of kind backer-only items such as a customized album spray paint art, a customized coffee mug, a neat drummer lover package, and *Meg is offering to thrift a jacket and deck it out as a one-of-a-kind item just for you!
ALL of the money raised here will go directly to recording costs. Even if we do not reach our goal rest assured that your support is directly impacting this album in some way. If we exceed our goal, you'll be helping support our lodging and transportation on our way to Tennessee.
Why does it matter?
Music is an amazing medium to share messages and we personally have felt the impact from artists influencing us and us encouraging our listeners. These new songs address difficult issues such as depression, suicide, fear, being fake, surrender, and many others. During shows we've heard multiple testimonies of people who have been impacted directly and have left encouraged and hopeful because we weren't scared to address the issue.
Our previous album, Shadows Within, has seen radio air time with our singles 'Downstream' and 'Amnesty' and the latter spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Christian Rock charts.
Risks & Challenges
We knew that we couldn't rely completely on this campaign to fund our time in the studio so we brainstormed a multitude of ways to fundraise outside of this. Trevor has been spray painting for weeks, *Meg has been painting mugs, Greg and Luke have mowed lawns, painted houses and together we've cleaned up people's property, helped friends move and done everything we could think of to earn support. We feel God has provided so much already and can't wait to see how He continues to show up.
