ECHO PEOPLE is really for fans of "Rubin and Ed", a film I made a few years back starring Crispin Glover, Howard Hesseman and Karen Black. This project is kind of a spin-off of "Rubin and Ed" with a new cast of misfits who are once again lost in the desert. "Echo People" is the first of three episodes. Each one will be about 25 minutes. FROGS are a major theme in this first one! Imagine that.

Short Summary

ECHO PEOPLE is not about gender issues or race issues or police brutality. It is not about the destruction of the environment, or politics or the Me-Too Movement. My film is about a blabbermouth with a speech impediment who loves frogs and teams up with a timid brain surgeon with a broken-down car. It is about a relationship that develops between two totally lost strangers as they wander through the desert looking at ants and telling secrets.

I want to raise $4000 to pay the crew and actors and take care of the travel expenses. We are heading for the desert to shoot.
