Introduction
Echoes is a short thriller about two friends on the run, and it's set to be shot in Detroit this August. This is the fifth film Meredith Dobbs and Michael Lopetrone have done together, and they're very excited to start this one as co-producers and all-around co-creators. Michael brings a great knack for outreach and sharing our message, while Meredith keeps the project focused on the core of the story, and both share a fierce dedication to valuing the work of the artists involved.
We did a film last summer, and we're geeked to do another one this summer. Read about last summer's campaign, or just watch the trailer for the finished film.
Our story
Tasha and Tiffany are best friends on the run. They meet a mysterious young guy in a diner who asks them to deliver a package, and the mission leads them to Detroit, a house, and a series of unanswered questions. It’s a thriller about chasing a feeling, losing your identity, and finding a new past to call your own.
Our team
David Brooke is a writer and a journalist with a great love for contemporary literature. By day he works as a legal journalist, and by night he reads typographical fiction, analyzes films, and frequently watches football matches in loud pubs. This is his first screenplay, which he wrote from his flat in London.

Why We Need You
Making a film is expensive, and we need help raising funds. But transparency is really important to us.
About half will come from dedicated sponsorships, and the other half we’re asking from incredible supporters like you through this indiegogo campaign. Sponsorships will go toward paying the actors and filmmakers we ask to work with us. The donations from you will go to paying for all the other costs to make the movie happen. This means props, costumes, food on set, equipment, etc. We'll be shooting all at night over four days, and we've been careful to make our funds go as far as possible.
This breakdown should explain everything (if not, just ask us).
Our Budget:
(Stipends for cast and crew: $2500, via sponsorship)

We understand that not everyone can donate, but that doesn't mean you can't help. Here are some great ways:
-
Share our campaign by email, Twitter, or Facebook. The wider the reach, the better our project can be!
-
In-kind donations, especially equipment or catering.
- Are you interested in sponsorship? We'd love to pitch our project to you.
- Myriad other ways -- just get in touch with us and we'll talk about it.
And that’s all there is to it.
