Short Summary
Hello, my name is Jeffrey Kelly, and I am the founder of Rökkur Production. As a long-time fan of various subgenres of industrial/EBM, gothic, and metal music I have often run into the problem that the bands I want to see rarely come to Seattle, or even the USA oftentimes. I plan to change this. By creating Edge Fest I hope to create a quarterly industrial music festival where all can come together to experience a show unlike any other, and even better, meet the bands in the process!
In addition to being a kick-ass concert, all proceeds from the concert will be donated directly to KNHC, Seattle's own non-profit radio station to keep Seattle's hottest music and late-night industrial host Paul from On The Edge on the air COMMERCIAL FREE!
Edge Fest will take place on Friday, January 31st at Studio Seven in Seattle Washington.

What We Need & What You Get
Here's the deal--As awesome as shows are, they tend to be expensive to organize. Luckily, most of us can just enjoy the show without needing to worry about the financial aspect. I, however, do not get to enjoy that luxury. As this is the very first Edge Fest night, I need to raise between $750 and $1,000 in order to reach my fundraising goal to put on this show. All money I receive from these donations will go directly towards transportation and lodging for the bands (not all of them can sleep on my couch), promotions, props, and lights. Our headliner for this event is NYC-based HANZEL UND GRETYL. And as excited as I am to have them, I have to face the harsh reality that it will cost about $350 just to fly them into Washington. As you can see, all money donated to this cause will go towards a great benefit, and we would be forever grateful for your generosity. Any money that exceeds our goal will go towards future events for bringing in headliners from outside of the USA!
So, now that the boring aspect of us needing a little financial step-up to get this show started is over, how about the more interesting part--what you get in return for your donations!
There are various donation levels, and for pledging at different levels you can be entitled to win some awesome thank-you gifts ranging from signed posters, VIP tickets, season-passes, instruments and production gear, and even limited-edition and signed merchandise from all sorts of bands in the scene!
The Impact
KNHC, otherwise known as C89.5 has been a long-operating dance radio station in Seattle Washington. They have been on the air for over 40 years 100% commercial free all thanks to listener support and donations. However, the pressure to raise enough money for the annual $800,000 budget can be stressful and chaotic for everyone. In order to help keep this public radio station alive I feel it is my duty to support them, and I need your help.
I volunteered at C89.5 for nearly 3 years as an on-air host and production manager. I know how it feels to be in the hot spot being unsure of whether or not we would make our goal and if we would have to close down the station. I know they fear that every year. But I aim to lessen that fear. I want to support the radio station and all those who donate their time to keep it alive and playing all of Seattle's hottest music commercial free.
Other Ways You Can Help
Of course not everybody can donate money--I totally understand. Money is tight these days, and people have to be careful with their spending. If it isn't within your financial ability to donate to the cause but would still like to get involved to help get this show on the road, then any form of promotion you could lend to the event would be spectacular. Simply sharing the event or this fundraiser on Facebook or Twitter is enough to show your support for making this event a reality.
