What this Album Means to Me
Singing has always been a central part of my life. I started out belting melodies from my front porch (in the style of the Little Mermaid, of course) and grew up mimicking artists from Selena to Stevie Nicks. I loved the rush I felt from expressing emotions and stories through music. Then I learned to play guitar, and something magical happened: writing songs gave me the power to share my own experiences and dreams with anyone who listened.
This album represents the last four years of songwriting at my best. I've worked hard to develop my own sound: a unique blend of folk, pop, rock and jazz that reflects a variety of influences and interests. The track you hear in the video, "Hey There, San Francisco", is the song that brought me to the city of my dreams, a city that has since inspired even more musical exploration.

Making this album a reality will be a huge step for me in my growth as an artist. It will create a firm foundation for my music career, and help me build a following in the Bay Area - I'll finally have something to take with me to gigs! It will be a personal milestone for me and a concrete way for me to give back all the amazing music I've been surrounded by my whole life.
What I Need
I've done the calculations, and by the time this project is done, I'll have racked up $1000 in transportation costs from SF to LA. That's a lot of money! With your contributions, I'll be able to finish the album AND pay my rent for the rest of the summer :P
The next $500 will go towards production costs: I need to purchase bulk CDs and covers, and print the album artwork (which is going to be killer, by the way).
The last $500 will go directly to my sound engineer, who so far has been working for free (!), to help offset the many days he's taken off work to record with me in the studio.

Other Ways You Can Help
If you're in a tight spot and can't contribute right now, never fear! I need help in more ways than one. When you get a chance, check out my Soundcloud or my YouTube channel and share a song with someone you think might enjoy it. I'm not aiming to make a profit right now - just to spread the word and share my music <3
THANK YOU for watching and supporting me in this project! I can't wait to share what I made. Sending love from San Francisco,
Eileen Marie
