Plot Summary
Jorina (23) surprisingly becomes the assistant of Jake (25), the Vice President of the children homing organization HCN. The more she works for the company, the more it becomes clear, that there is something shady going on.

The Characters
JAKE: If there is one word for the for the first impression anyone has of Jake it is: Asshole.
He is one of the most powerful people on earth at only 25. He is feared and hated by most for his position as the right hand of the HCN president, Jacob Voland.
But while he is planning to take down the institute from the institute, the only thing keeping him alive is his mask of wit, violence and loyalty.
JORINA: Jorina, called Jo, is an outgoing, witty and smart woman. Her big mouth and curious mind tend to get her into trouble, but she is genuinely caring and kind if she wants to be.
When Jake hires her as an assistant, she doesn’t realize what she is getting herself into. But it doesn’t matter eventually, when she realizes the truth behind HCN.
LOUIS: Louis is Jake’s best friend, but acts more like his big brother. He is trying to take care of him, which proves hard with the little influence he has over their lives.
But Louis is anything else than Jake’s gay sidekick. He is smart, educated and could easily be accepted to any university he wishes to go to. He is nothing short of a hero: Willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the wellbeing of his friends and the world.
VOLAND: Voland is the president and founder of HCN. He is power hungry, manipulative and controlling and will make anyone, including children, do the dirty work that will make him even more powerful.
The Crew & The Script
Hello! My name is Martha, I am a film school graduate, costumer, author, director and producer. I have worked on several short films and music videos and now want to take my art to the next step.
"Encircled" is loosely based on my published (German) novel, called "Eingekreist" (transl. Encircled). This story and these characters have been in my life for many, many years and it is a dream coming true to be able to finally visualize them.
The script was closely improved by writers and industry professionals in Vancouver.
Working with me will be talented actors, artists, camera and lighting crew members from all over the world with all kinds of backgrounds. Most of us are working for free. We are all about living for our art and developing a unique project.
