The story

 A father tries to educate his young son about the importance of internet safety by telling him a scary story. The boy gets more than he bargained for when reality and fiction collide. He will never be the same again!...and neither will you!

This movie is based on the story by R.D. OvenFriend called "A story to scare my son". This very popular story is a Reddit No-Sleep contest winner and has been featured on numerous videos on Youtube with millions of views including on CreepsMcPasta's scary tales. Check it out for yourself!

Why Make Endgame?

We are committed to creating a original, memorable story, that is not only exciting and thrilling, but also thought provoking. 

Horror is a genre I've been attracted to for a long time for its capacity to tell a wide range of stories. But it can be so much more. Horror films can be scary and tackle important themes at the same time. Endgame will be a tense horror thriller with scares but will also serve as a catalyst for discussions around internet safety. Nowadays, trolls are not the only things to be feared online for kids. They can fall prey to predators without even being aware of it. They chat and talk online with strangers everyday with limited ways for parents to protect them, except maybe by turning the wi-fi off. In this movie, the father uses a scary story to warn his ten year old son about the potential dangers of the internet.

 This movie will definitely answer that question. The answer is 'YES'. But, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

MATTHEW SAUVE    (Father /John)

Matthew Sauvé is an international multi-award winning "Best Lead Actor" from Toronto, Canada. He has appeared in over thirty film and television productions. He is best known for his lead role performance as 'Travis' in the dramatic short film "One Night Stand".

BARBARA SZEMAN  (Abby/ Colby's mom)

Barbara Szeman has been working as a producer, assistant director and actress for over a decade. Szeman is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada and Canadian Media Producer's Association and remains high in demand having proven herself on Robocop (2014), Poltergeist (2015), Pixels (2015), Suicide Squad (2016) amongst many other movies, television shows and pilots.

Magalie De Genova is an emerging Toronto-based producer and director. A graduate from the Paris film school ESEC, Magalie is a creative storyteller interested in tackling important social themes. Her previous short, “The Bus Stop” has been shown at festivals across North America and has garnered 14 millions views on Youtube in a year.

KERRY-LEE FINKLE   (Producer)

Kerry-Lee Finkle is a budding Producer.  She recently produced the feature film “Goliath” featuring Andrea Roth and Michelle Mylett. Endgame is Kerry-Lee’s most recent production having just finished production on a short film based on Stephen King’s original ghost story “Willa”. 

Kerry-Lee is also a character actress who can be seen in the feature film “Downsizing” directed by the amazing Alexander Payne.  She has appeared in 15 film and television productions.  Fluent in American Sign Language, Kerry has also been an interpreter for a number of films involving Deaf Actors.  She is highly respected within the Deaf community and uses her signing abilities to give Deaf Actors a voice.

Born in England and brought up in New Zealand, Simon Riera is an acclaimed cinematographer who has worked in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the US and Toronto, where he's currently based. He's had short films featured at Cannes, Siggraph, SXSW and Comicon and features that have won critical and audience awards at festivals such as the New Zealand International, SXSW, Slamdance, New York and Edinburgh film festivals. His most recent work includes the comedy drama Rosehaven for the Sundance Channel, and Ronny Chieng International Student for Comedy Central.

With 20-years of experience in the global film industry and more at the school of hard-knocks, Jeremy Campbell has worked on countless productions across all genres. L'histoire

Un père tente d'éduquer son jeune fils sur l'importance de la sécurité sur Internet en lui racontant une histoire effrayante. Le récit du père se transforme en une histoire sinistre quand les frontières entre vérité et fiction se floutent.

Cette histoire montre le pire scénario possible de ce qui peut arriver lorsqu'on divulgue trop en ligne. C'est une histoire terrifiante avec un rebondissement qui vous glacera le sang! Ce film est basé sur l'histoire de R.D. OvenFriend intitulée "Une histoire pour effrayer mon fils". Cette histoire très populaire a remporté le concours Reddit No-Sleep et a été présentée dans de nombreuses vidéos sur Youtube avec des millions de vues.

Pourquoi faire Endgame?

Nous nous sommes engagés à créer une histoire originale et mémorable, qui soit non seulement passionnante et excitante, mais qui provoque également la réflexion.

L'horreur est un genre qui m'intéresse depuis longtemps pour sa capacité et sa polyvalence à raconter une grande variété d'histoires. Je pense que ce genre a été sous-utilisé et que, dans de nombreux films, il n’a pas atteint son potentiel. Les films d'horreur peuvent faire peur et aborder des thèmes importants en même temps. Endgame sera un thriller effrayant  mais servira également de catalyseur pour les discussions sur la sécurité sur Internet. De nos jours, les enfants peuvent facilement devenir la proie de prédateurs sans même en être conscients. Ils discutent en ligne avec des étrangers tous les jours et leurs parents ont des moyens limités pour les protéger. Dans ce film, le père utilise une histoire effrayante pour mettre en garde son fils de dix ans des dangers  d'Internet.
