Hey there intrepid mystery lovers, and welcome to Englewood After Dark Season Two: Disclosures, the fundraiser. We hope you’ve been enjoying Season One and we’re even more hopeful that you’ll join us on this quest for Season Two.

What will Season Two entail?

A full-cast, impressively sound-designed audio drama delving into another unexplained mystery in the haunted town of Englewood. Thirty episodes of horror, mystery, drama and comedy.

Englewood After Dark: Disclosures follows Private Investigator Noa Eikenboom as she investigates what happened Kristina McKenna after the Mass Hysteria that brought campus to its knees last semester. But, as she gets closer and closer to the truth, it slowly becomes apparent that the thing responsible is also growing closer to home.

It is 2012. The new Parapsychology course at Englewood University is drawing all kinds of attention. Three grieving students chasing answers for a lost loved one. One YouTuber with her sights set on infamy. A disgraced Professor clawing back his credibility. A Private Investigator piecing it all together. And Erin. Erin just wants to get to the bottom of his dreadful premonitions. Circumstance forces them together, but, it turns out their discovery saw them first. And has been watching for an age. Our unlikely heroes must race against time to uncover exactly what the watcher on the hill is, before it buries them all.

Who Are We?

Englewood After Dark is produced by a three-person team of best-friends and creatives. We are as indie as they come, but we have thus far been incredibly successful in producing weekly episodes of Englewood After Dark: Defamations (hitting 20K downloads in 5 months). We are all bisexual, neurodivergent, and at most two-thirds cis.

Producer, Co-creator, Writer, Casting Director and Dialogue Editor - Hannah Brown [she/her]

Hannah is the co-creator, award-winning writer, and producer of Englewood After Dark, and voice of Maeve O’Coill. Originally from Wales, she now calls Tokyo Bay her home. An eccentric at heart, her horror writing has appeared in anthologies from Eerie River Publishing, Fly on the Wall Press, and Cosmic Horror Monthly. Her writing has appeared in the NoSleep Podcast and will also appear in Professor Pandemonium’s Peculiar Panoply and Tales from the Dead West. 

Director, Co-creator, Writer and Dialogue Editor - Dennis Ortman [he/they]

Dennis Ortman is the co-creator, co-writer, director of Englewood After Dark and voice of Calvin Nielson. Born, raised, and still living in the Midwest of America, Dennis spends his days braving the horrors of customer service and his nights creating his own horrors, writing short stories and scripts in his free time. 

Sound Designer and Co-creator - A. Rose [he/him]

A. Rose is the co-creator and sound designer of Englewood After Dark, and the voice of Samuel. He hails from the mythic land of New Zealand. He likes spreadsheets, short sleeves, long walks in the middle of the night, and playing Entirely Too Much D&D. He daylights as a financial administrator, dutifully banging his head against a keyboard and making the numbers go up so people will give him currency. People who know about sound design have called his soundscapes ‘delightfully real’ and ‘chillingly immersive’.

Music for this season is being composed and created by the talented Athan, friend of ours and the mind behind The Grotto. We cannot wait to show you what Athan cooked up.

Art

Art for this season has been once again crafted by the immensely talented Giuseppe Bonanno (Tahoe_51). As an animator by trade, he has worked with studios like MAPPA, TRIGGER, and YOHSTAR as a layout animator and cleanup artist.

The talented Mars Dizon is joining us again for Season 2, bringing her graphic design talents to our Wallpapers, Images and keeping our website both functional and beautiful.

Animated short for Englewood After Dark Season 1

Our returning season 1 artist Tahoe_51 is an animator by trade. He has worked for MAPPA, TRIGGER, and YOHSTAR as a layout animator and cleanup artist. With this stretch goal, he will be able to make a short from Episode 1 of Englewood After Dark, when Eve and Finn first step into The Murder Farm. 

Risks & Challenges

All episodes have been written, roles cast, and recording has begun. It is very unlikely that production will fall through at this point, but failing to meet goals for the season may mean that the Englewood After Dark story has to end here. By receiving funding for Season 2, we will be able to push forward with the story the way it was always supposed to be.
