The Vocabulary Maps 2000 words workbook in English is a workbook designed for visual learners. When you look through our workbook, you will notice that this is not a typical English language workbook. We have designed it to convey the essentials of what you need to know quickly, simply and in a visual format.
Our vocabulary maps are laid out in topics (scroll up to see the full list of 70 topics) with noun-verb connections.
So, what is in a 'VOCABULARY MAP' - In our maps you will find nouns, some plural forms, articles, synonyms, phrasal verbs, verbs, irregular verbs (which are always in bold) and prepositions,
We want to share with you how important it is to learn vocabulary using the noun-verb connections and in context. This way you can put together simple sentences in as little as 2 minutes! We have also added the correct prepostions that go together with the vocabulary.
Each vocabulary map comes with an exercise, to practice what you have learnt from the map in sentences.

Suzi & Tom

Hi, Ahoj. We are the Vocabulary Maps family, Tom, Suzi, William, Jasper and Angelo! We are living and teaching English in the Czech Republic. We started this project in 2015 because we were both fed up with using typical columned, linear materials. So one day Suzi drew a map and we came up with Vocabulary Maps. We started studying more about how the brain works and found out that visual learning and context learning is something that our brain likes, so we combined these two facts into our maps and our students loved it! They started to remember more and were more proactive in the lessons. We have been working hard and having babies to create a workbook for visual learners like us.
