Our Story
Hello out there! My name is Erin and I want to help my husband pay off his graduate student loan.
My husband Allen (the handsome redhead in the above photo) is the most wonderful man I have ever met. He is kind and patient. He is so smart and wonderfully funny and I am so lucky to have married him. He makes me happy every day. We are a great team and we live a full life. We don't have a sad story. We just need some help.
The Impact
Allen and I work very hard at our full time jobs and we live within our means. Allen is a registered architect, which required a lot of studying and very expensive graduate school. Despite the romantic job title, architects don't make big salaries. We would love to set aside money so we can start a family, but due to the high student loan payments, we are not able to set aside savings. My husband works harder than anyone I know and is too proud to ask for help, but I see what the stress of the loan payments do to him.
Nothing in the whole world would make me happier than to help pay for his student
loan. I can't think of anything that would be better. To see the
stress of this loan lifted from his shoulders would be such a wonderful
thing. I just need a little help from you guys!
What We Need & What You Get
Allen's current student loan is $64,000. We make a loan payment of $728.00 a month, but this barely covers the interest that has accumulated over the month. We hardly make a dent with each payment. The indiegogo goal I set would give us a great push toward our ultimate goal of paying off the loan completely. It would allow for us to begin saving for our future family.
If we don't hit our goal, it's okay! Any help is good help! I (we) will be so incredibly grateful for any help, big or small!
