Hello, I'm Andy Frazer, an illustrator from Wales. This time last year, my book EX|TERRA 2 was successfully funded here on Indiegogo. Now the third volume, EX|TERRA 3 is complete and ready to print!

The Book

Just like the first two books, EX|TERRA 3 features all my palaeoart work from the past twelve months. It includes detailed digital paintings, colour studies and pencil sketches, with subject matter ranging from tyrannosaurs to early human ancestors.

Whilst many of the illustrations in the book are based on rigorous research and adhere closely to current science, others purposely take a more speculative approach, exploring not just what we know about these animals, but also how much we have yet to learn.

The book is A5 sized (210mm x 148mm), landscape format, printed on high quality heavy-weight silk-finish paper with laminated soft-covers. It comprises 64 pages and features dozens of unique illustrations. All copies bought through this campaign will be hand-signed (by me, of course)!

This third volume has (slightly) fewer pages than last year - due to the fact that more of this year's work is currently embargoed, awaiting publication or under exclusive license. There is also a higher proportion of hand-drawn pencil sketches, reflecting a general change in my working practices over the past twelve months.

The Campaign

Unlike many crowd-funded books (including some of  my own), which are completed after the funding campaign, EX|TERRA 3 is already finished and all the files are ready to be sent to the print company. This Indiegogo campaign is simply intended to raise the funds necessary for the initial print-run.

This means that you won't have to wait months or years to get what you've paid for, with fulfilment scheduled to begin mid-March 2025, and all books being sent out to backers by late-April.

For those of you who prefer your books in a digital format, EX|TERRA 3 and the add-on perks EX|TERRA 1 & 2 are also available as pdf downloads. The PDF versions are included free for anyone purchasing physical copies.

About Me

I'm best known as the creator of the Dragons of Wales series of books. Seven of these have already been published via successful crowd-funding campaigns. In addition, I have also published several dinosaur-themed books, including Novosaurs, OLD ONE, Project:Tepui and the first two volumes of EX|TERRA. I have produced illustrations for a number of palaeontology researchers and institutions, and I am available for commission work. Risks & Challenges

As the book is already completed and ready to print, the risks and challenges are greatly reduced compared to many similar projects. I hope that this, as well as my established record of previous crowd-funded books will give you confidence in my ability and commitment to deliver.

As soon as this campaign ends and the funds have been processed, the files will be immediately sent to the print company. Typically, production takes around two weeks, meaning that I'd expect to receive the books in the second-half of March, and I'll begin sending them out to supporters as soon as I receive the stock.

I use a UK-based print company to minimise any delays caused by disrupted global supply-chains. This company has printed all my previous books, are exceptionally reliable and produce very high-quality work. Of course unforeseen issues can impact any project, and I always keep supporters informed throughout the process.
