In June 2012, we launched the LIV Design Challenge in which the best designers in the world competed in designing a watch, with our brand in mind.  In August 2012, we nominated the Genesis X1 as the winning design.  In June 2013, we completed the first nonworking prototype of the GX1.  It took over 6 months to get the first working prototype, and another 6 months to approve various models.  In August 2014, we designed the Genesis X1 packaging, and a few months later, in October 2014, we launched the GX1 on Kickstarter.  By the end of the 30-day campaign, 412 backers pledged $191,085 to help bring this project to life, and the GX1 was the most funded Swiss watch on Kickstarter to date.
