Expression is a 2023 horror short film directed by Chip MacDonald. It follows 3 students venturing into an abandoned building, where they encounter Elliot, a man with strong opinions, an important lesson, as well as violent consequences for those who are unable to learn. It explores the repressed emotions men have compared to the people society wants them to be, and asks if those emotions should be oppressed at all.

We wrote the first draft for Expression 2 years ago during our sophomore year of college. Since then it’s been our goal to make it for our senior capstone film. This film is meant to be the culmination of our college careers, and it has lots of personal meaning and passion behind it. Our goals are ambitious, but we feel confident we can reach them with your help. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in order to make Expression as good as we hope it will be.
