Pitot Watches - F/A-18 Super Hornet Inspired Pilot Watch
Since 1886, the time when Carl Benz applied for a patent for his vehicle powered by a gas engine, the birth certificate of the modern-day automobile, humanity has been obsessed with going faster. First, it was the automobile, then our obsession evolved into aircraft with Wilbur and Orville Wright making their first four brief flights at Kitty Hawk. From speed on the ground to speed in the air, we’ve constantly challenged ourselves to push through to new levels. Even with all of humanity's past technological ingenuity, we sometimes come to points in time where even we ourselves are taken aback by our own designs. That feeling of shock, awe, excitement, and sheer power all in one—is something most of us feel when we hear or see a F/A-18 Super Hornet streaking through the skies. An aircraft built for speed, agility, and multi-role capabilities, it truly is a Swiss Army knife of the skies… So it only seemed fitting that we designed a Swiss-powered wristwatch inspired by the one and only—F/A-18 Super Hornet.
Introducing Pitot Watches’ F/A-18 Super Hornet inspired wristwatch
My name is Thomas, a former RDAF aircraft mechanic. I’ve been around incredible pieces of engineering in the form of aircraft all of my life, and with this watch, I’ve taken inspiration from the things I love to create a watch designed to make you feel the way you feel watching a fighter jet fly through the skies. Inspired by the wing profile, foldable wings, square air-intake, jettison button, and 2x exhausts this watch - like the F/A-18-is something to look at.
Features:
-Powered by a Swiss Ronda Quartz movement with Chronograph and Tachymeter complications
-Titanium case for lightweight, strength, and scratch-resistant durability
-Durable rubber strap with secure fold-over clasp
-F/A-18 silhouette etched rear case back
Three Editions:
-Green edition inspired by cockpit digital displays
-Light blue edition to pay tribute to the upcoming Top Gun Maverick movie
-Blue to pay homage to the legendary Blue Angels
Help me bring this fantastic watch that pays homage to a fantastic flying machine in the F/A-18 into a reality! Any support is much appreciated, I’m positive you’ll love the watch!

I use crowdfunding to help watches become a reality. After my years in the airforce, I became a product developer in the civil and now building up a new watch brand with fighter jets inspired watches.
Our first watches are the F-14 Tomcat-inspired ones, which we just recently delivered with help from backers on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter.
Our second watch is the F/A-18 Super Hornet-inspired watch, which we now seek funds for to help with prototype production, so we can launch the big Kickstarter with the prototypes ready later in early 2022.

F/A-18 Super Hornet history
The Boeing F / A-18E / F Super Hornet is a US 4.5. generation jet fighters are available in two versions: F / A-18E with one seat and F / A-18F with two seats.
The Super Hornet first flew in 1995 and was put into production in 1997 after Boeing took over McDonnell Douglas in July of that year. The aircraft has replaced the Grumman F-14 Tomcat as the U.S. Navy's air superiority fighter. It can be used from land as well as from aircraft carriers and on its first voyage in 2002 it was used for the first time in combat.
The Super Hornet is also used by the Australian Air Force (RAAF), which has ordered 24 two-seater aircraft to replace the F-111.
Some of the inspiration for our new F/A-18 Super Hornet inspired watch come from the new Top Gun:Maverick movie where they fly the Super Hornet.
There were three painted Super Hornet to assist on the shooting. After the filming, one of the Super Hornet was transferred to the US Navy demo team Blue Angels and now flying as the first F/A-18 Super Hornet delivered in the Blue Angels paintscheme.

What We Need & What You Get
We seek funding to produce a minimum of three prototypes or more and marketing the Kickstarter campaign. The prototypes take 55 days to produce (after releasing the funding from IGG and the invoice to production being verified).
The F/A-18 Super Hornet watch itself comes in three different color editions. The watch is inspired by the wings profile, foldable wingtips, engine exhaust, cockpit button, and digital displays.
- The green dial editions are inspired by the digital displays in the cockpit.
- The blue/yellow is inspired by the Blue Angels.
- The light blue is inspired by the new Top Gun: Maverick movie

We offer these watches for only €225 for 15 backers since the help we are getting by having funds this early makes the project possible, and we want to reward that with a low price for the backers who help with this to become a reality!

The funding we reach goes to the production of the prototypes and marketing of the Kickstarter campaign (I have run 5 campaigns already and tried this before, so I'm sure we will reach the funding with help from new and previous backers).
You can check out our previous F-14 campaigns, both here on Indiegogo and on Kickstarter. I started with prototype funding, then made the prototypes, launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund for production, made the production, and then delivered the watches to all over the world. The feedback in quality and design has been amazing, and I'm very happy with the product in both quality, design, and finish.

Risks & Challenges
With the experience from previous campaigns in the time of a pandemic, we learned a lot, and know what it takes to deliver a watch, all the way from the first sketches, production and to carefully pack the watches and ship them out.
From previous funding results, we managed to get an investor on board to help grow the company in the direction we want, and we are now a company with 4 owners and a board of directors, and an advisory board.
Our goal is not to stay a microbrand, and I have dedicated my life to build up this watch company, I take it very seriously and we already came far in this our fourth year now as a company.
