“To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely.” – Revelation 21:6
St. Joseph, Father of All, is a painting by Michael Corsini. It is a depiction of the first approved vision of St. Joseph by a shepherd in France. Read the story here!
On June 7th 1660, a 22 year old shepherd named Gaspard Ricard, was herding his sheep on Mount Bessillon in France. Around 1pm the heat grew stronger and harder to bear. Gaspard became very tired and thirsty, so he decided to lay upon the rocky ground for a rest. Suddenly a tall man stood next to him and pointed to a nearby rock saying: “I am Joseph, lift the rock and you will drink.” The startled young man saw that the large rock looked heavy, asking how he would move it alone as it would take about eight men to move it. St Joseph again said, “lift the rock and you will drink.” Gaspard rose and obeyed. He moved the rock and found fresh water flowing from underneath. He began to drink but when he looked up, found that St Joseph had disappeared. He ran into town exclaiming this news to the villagers and within three hours the small spring of water had become a fountain of abundant water.
BIO
My name is Michael Corsini and I am a painter. I am a husband, to my beautiful wife Jessie, and father of five little ones. I have been creating works of art for healing and renewal for nearly two decades. I have a BFA from Ringling School of Art and Design as well as a MTS from the John Paul Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. I also spent 5 years in temporary vows as a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, in discernment of religious life and the priesthood. Accordingly I have a deep love for fatherhood! I believe this painting will bring healing and renewal to people of all backgrounds but is especially dedicated to those who are husbands and fathers (natural or supernatural). My intention is to bring the painting to parishes all over the country to lead people in prayer and musical holy hours for the restoration of fatherhood. Will you join me In this mission?
GOAL
I need to gather at least $5,000 to get this project funded… that’s mostly supplies and time. What you get is a copy for yourself and other goodies (depending on your contribution), and the ability to join me in this mission! My extended goal is $10000, at which point everyone, who funds at any level, will receive a free pack of (50) Holy Cards. More importantly, this goal will allow me to travel with the image to parishes that can not afford to host the event!
Risks & Challenges
My biggest challenge is that I am doing this on my own… (well with lots of moral support from my kids!) I will be handling all the prints and fulfilling orders myself. I’ll be personally working with the printers, doing the packaging, and in some form, delivering them to you. This will extend the timeline on delivery, but I will personally vouch for each patrons’ order!
