Feed the pigs at Ruby Ranch Pig Sanctuary

Ruby Ranch is a sanctuary in Arthur, Ontario. Help them take care of their 28 rescued animals! We are fundraising to cover the food for 21 pigs for the summer.

  • Stannie was one of our original rescues. His human mom was very ill, and asked us to take him. He's almost 10 years old, and one of our sweetest, calmest pigs. His best friend is L.J.
  • Brought to us in 2009, after his family moved to a condo and couldn't keep him. He didn't start out being a house pig, but he soon let us know that barn living was not the life for him. He's now the boss of the house pigs, ruling with an iron hoof.
  • Baby Squirt was lucky to have been spotted, as a 4 week old infant, at a dodgy roadside zoo. His benefactor scooped him up, got him out of there and brought him to us. He has made himself at home here at Ruby Ranch, infiltrating L.J and Stannie's herd, by pure stealth and determination.
  • Our beautiful, timid girl. Her life at Ruby Ranch began as part of the "piglet pack" with two young farm pigs, Doc and Stormy. Once the boys grew up, they joined the farm pig herd, leaving Truly behind. She's still a happy girl, roaming the farm all day long, happy with her own company
  • Wuzzle was saved by a wonderful young lady who saved him from being a fraternity's "pig roast." I'll never forget the sight of him when they brought him to Ruby Ranch. Sitting in the back of their SUV, in a rubbermaid tote! He has since joined the big pig herd, and though he's a lot smaller than them, they are his family, and he loves them.

About Ruby Ranch

It all started in 2008 when Sherry and Bob adopted Ruby, a pot-bellied pig. Soon after, they opened a sanctuary outside of Arthur, Ontario, with their 6 pigs. Now, Ruby Ranch is home to 15 pot-bellied pigs, 6 big pigs, 2 sheep and 5 chickens!

This campaign was started to help cover the costs of running the sanctuary. Sherry and Bob have given these pigs a second chance, and now it's our turn to help!

There are so many pigs in need of a safe home. Some are rescued from being farmed, others are "bought" by people who haven't done their research, while others may need to move due to zoning restrictions. 

Ruby Ranch provides a safe home for some of these pigs, while we work towards a world where all animals get the love and respect they deserve. 

What We Need

We are hoping to fundraise $2000 to feed the 21 pigs over the summer. Their food is $500/month, so we will be able to feed them for 4 months!

Running a sanctuary is expensive! Any amount will help out.
