FIGMENT North Adams

After having a successful first run in 2016, FIGMENT North Adams is doing it all over again on Saturday, April 29th, at Windsor Lake. FIGMENT is an interactive arts event which aims to promote co-creation, engagement, and collaboration through participatory art. This event is family-friendly, encouraging all ages to attend. FIGMENT aims to create an environment where art can be expressed and experienced in new ways. All contributions are helpful to this project and deeply appreciated by our volunteers. And, your donations are tax-deductible!

Our Story & Our Impact on the Community

Since launching its first event in New York City in 2007, FIGMENT Project has grown significantly! It can now be found in 13 cities around the world, including San Diego, Boston, and Washington D.C., and Geelong, Australia. FIGMENT offers an open invitation to everyone, regardless of age, income, or gender. Everyone has the opportunity to connect and engage in the creation of art alongside their community with open arms.

FIGMENT was brought to North Adams due to the hard work and dedication of a team of MCLA students and community leaders. Their collaboration was fueled by their passion for bringing the community together for taking part in the city's creative culture. Berkshire County is full of talented and immensely creative individuals and FIGMENT is an opportunity for those to share their work and collaborate with the community.

FIGMENT North Adams was born through team efforts, skillful organization, and a lot of public support! Over 70 volunteers donated their time and 55 projects were contributed to make the event blossom from an idea to a reality.
