Help us get Last Days into film festivals!

Hi all! We're wrapping up with post production on Last Days, and we couldn't be here without all your support! As we cross the finish line, that last step in our journey is to submit the film to festivals around the country. With your help, people will finally get to see our movie! We're so proud of what we've created.

Message from the Filmmaker

Our small production team filmed Last Days over the course of two months in the summer of 2022, for a remarkably low budget and flying by the seat of our pants. Many people on our crew took time off of work and contributed insane amounts of their own time and resources to the film. We made a comedy feature that we're all immensely proud of, and we built relationships that will last a lifetime. Last Days has been in the editing room ever since, and we're nearing completion on the project!! Each time I watch it, I find some new joke to laugh at.

I'm now fundraising to be able to submit the film to various film festivals across the US, in the hopes that I can gain my team the recognition they deserve, because I really could not have done this without them. Last Days was just an idea in my head--as I graduated from college and transitioned away from the community I made in college comedy, I couldn't help but feel so nostalgic I thought my heart would explode. It didn't, and I took my friends and the life we lived, and the bits we ran, and put them on the page. And those same friends, along with some very talented new ones, made those pages a reality. Now, I'll have this film to look back on for the rest of my life, to remember the memories we made and the people who made me who I am. I couldn't be here without my sketch comedy team, and the Last Days production team all the same. If I'm sounding sappy now, then you're picking up on the tone of the film!

We'd like to be able to submit to an array of festivals, including Slamdance, the LA Comedy film festival, Cinequest, Female Eye, and many more. Anything you may be able to contribute would be greatly appreciated.

I really could not have gotten this far without all of your support. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for believing in my voice and helping me get my art out into the world.

-Anna

About the Film

Last Days follows a college sketch comedy team on the weekend of their last show together before five members graduate and move on from their beloved college town of Madison, WI. Most of the team wants to keep the energy light and enjoy the high of performing and the fun of graduation--but not Hanna. Hanna can't get the future off her mind, and she isn't coping with the fact that college comedy is coming to an end. She makes it her mission to convince the team to move to Chicago with her after graduation to pursue performing together, but in doing so she puts her relationship with the one person she had locked in for Chicago--her best friend Mae--on the line. All while this is going on, sparks are flying among multiple members of the team as they get nostalgic about the time they've spent together, and these feelings definitely complicate things for Hanna's mission.
