A year ago, the otherworld fantasy romance Fine Print began serialized publication on Fimfiction. Now that story has reached its end. After receiving numerous requests from readers, I’ve made the appropriate arrangements to produce my fifth independently published book.

What We Need & What You Get
The purpose of this campaign is to fund a small print run and publication of Fine Print. The book will be a glossy 6”x 9” hardcover with approximately 460 full color pages. The book will include over 50 illustrations from artists all over the fandom, such as Acesential (who is also doing the cover!), Viwrapstur, DiscordGE, Rutkotka, Pony-way, Lunebat, Lines, Julunis, Xbi, and more!

It will also include a 10,000 word extended epilogue, never to be published anywhere else, which will show more of Spark Gap’s life with Rose after making his decision at the end of the book. It may have a small number of not-before-seen illustrations, but most of the images present in the book will be high resolution prints of those already shown on Fimfiction.
Printing a book has certain physical constraints, and I want the hardcover to match the quality of the story it will contain. The printer requires a minimum run-size of 50 books, so that is the number we’ll have to hit to be successful (and is where the campaign goal comes from). For those who wish to support the author, you can also opt to order a signed and numbered edition for a few bucks more.

Those who want copies of any of the previous books I’ve printed will also be able to select them as add-on perks, since the printer will be able to make a few more with this order if we reach our goal. Those are Last Pony on Earth, Through the Aurora, and Message in a Bottle. Simply select them as add-ons while placing the order. Orders of multiple books will have reduced shipping costs, but must be going to the same destination address.
Those who wish to donate a little extra to support the author can also make a chapter suggestion with their order. However, like the Last Pony on Earth project, Fine Print was made to stand on its own, and I can’t make random additions that would weaken the story. As such, these extra chapter suggestions would only be included in the print if both I and the original commissioner agreed that they would benefit the plot. If not, they’d be posted to Fimfiction only.
Risks & Challenges
We cannot print fewer than fifty books, which makes this the minimum size for the campaign to be successful. If we do not reach this goal, Fine Print cannot be made, so everyone will be refunded.
Also, it’s important to remember that COVID is resurging across the world. This may impact international shipping times, and delay printing unexpectedly. Nevertheless, we were able to get Through the Aurora made and shipped to all backers during the height of the pandemic last year, so I have no doubt we’ll be able to get these books out too.

Can't contribute? That's fine! Obviously I'm not printing this story for the money--it's all about getting something awesome out in print. I don't expect anyone who isn't interested in hardcover books to order.
