Fixer has a reputation for being able to deliver anything. Anything you want, Fixer can deliver. He doesn't even charge - he just asks you to do something in return.

So, how far would you go to get what you want? 

Our story focuses in on seven separate individuals, all coming to Fixer with a request. As the story progresses, the seven stories start to intertwine, and it becomes apparent that Fixer may have an agenda of his own. 

• A cross media project, interweaving live performance with motion comic style animation.
  
• Written and directed by me, Joshua Marc Allen - BFA graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army.  (Animation directed by Ryan Swain)
  
• I have seen many examples of films that were successfully done with low budgets, many of their stories are well known, from Kevin Smith to Robert Rodriguez (and many others) so I challenged myself to create a compelling film that could be completed with a single location, and with as small a crew as possible.
  
• With the minimal budget, I can fully produce and complete 'Fixer', and with your involvement now, you can become involved, possibly even become an executive producer of the film. 
  

What We Need & What You Get

• We have found passionate and talented people who want to be involved, and each are helping us keep the budget to a minimum in their own ways.  However, we still need help securing a location, a fund for wardrobe and production design, renting additional equipment for lighting and sound, as well as make up - and of course making sure we can afford to eat while we work. 
  
• We want everyone to know how much we appreciate their support, and whether all you need is a thank you note - or want us to come to your hometown and screen the film with fifty of your closest friends, we have you covered.
  
• We are determined to make this movie, and all funds contributed will be used for this movie.  A wise man once said, 'Make it good, make it the best you can - but make it now'.  We will make this the best we can, as soon as we can - and with your help, we can make it now.
  

The Impact

In early 2003, I joined the Army, with the full understanding that they would help me pay for school.  The Army taught me discipline, and put me through experiences that I would have never even gotten close to otherwise. 

At the end of 2008, I was honorably discharged, and entered film school at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  I studied film from a global perspective, looking at the effect of each department, and really pushing myself to develop.

In 2012, I moved to LA, and began my senior year on-line.  During my senior year, I worked on five feature films - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5554270/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 - and directed my first short (a spec commercial) - http://youtu.be/NcGxLq6ALr4

I know what I am capable of, and several weeks ago, New Regency started a contest to fund up and coming filmmakers.  I wrote a short (and a summary of how I would expand that short into a feature) - and still feel like I have a chance of being selected.  I submitted days before the Sept 15th deadline - and today, Dec 4th, a decision has still not been made.  (For details about that contest, check out: http://prototype.breakmedia.com/ ) 

As the days ticked past, I continued to revisit the narrative that I sent in, and created a parallel narrative.  A narrative that set up how premeditated some of the incidents in the other film are.  But this story, the one I am establishing in this film, explains everything. 

This has just been growing.  This world has many more stories - and it can all start here.

I have found a group of passionate people, and together we are working to make this film a reality - all as cheaply as possible.  Seriously, anything you can offer will help us all step a little closer to our dreams. 

For me, this is life.  I would rather work three jobs and pay for everything myself - rather than ask for help.  I know I can make this movie, but it challenges me to think that I can't do it by myself.
