Simple. Advanced. Unique. Flarecast is an application which alerts other chosen users that your battery is low or has run out (See FAQ) both automatically and manually. Designed to solve an issue we have all experienced, Flarecast is more than just another app. It's the solution to an ever growing problem.
Think about this?
- Why has she not called me? Maybe she doesn't want to meet anymore!
- My Son said he would phone me back an hour ago. I'm getting really worried.
- Better draw up the end of employment papers. I called him 3 times to see if he is coming to work and he didn't respond. Not Happy!
- Our Conversation just ended without warning. Maybe i said something wrong.
Why didn't you call me. Why didn't you respond to me. Where were you. I thought you didn't like me no more......... No! My battery died.
Hi, I'm Brandon Bennett and I'm 17 Years Old. Creating Flarecast has been a huge achievement, not just for me, but for those who have helped make it what it is around me. Just like you, i love using my phone to my heart's content. Whether I'm checking my social status, Playing a game or even checking the good old British weather forecast. My phone plays a huge part in my day to day life. I know just how important it is to keep in contact with those around you, whether that being your family or friends.
The team around me and myself understand the need for meaningful applications which have a clear purpose. We have a clear vision for Flarecast and the goals we want to achieve and the issues we want to rectify. We are also dedicated to our users and potential customer base. I love receiving feedback and making changes which our users feel need to be made. After all, Flarecast is for you.
Actively participating in BETA Programs with Microsoft and Apple have also allowed me to explore conceptual design and the changes made before the final product is launched. A passion for technology and dedication towards creating unique and meaningful apps has brought me to where we I am today.
Now, i am are hugely excited to say that Flarecast is almost here. With amazing backers like you and active feedback from the community, we can finally get Flarecast on the app store and therefore into your hands.
With ever increasing demands on our tech, including Smartphones and Tablets, there is an increasing pressure on their battery and battery life! We have all experienced times when our devices battery has unknowingly run out or gone low often leaving family, friends and associates in the dark due to no communication being made which typically causes worry and concern. It's an issue which millions of us experience and one which continues to occur.
The solution begins with Flarecast. I have designed an application which allows your device to automatically alert selected others that your battery is low or has run out (>2%). That's the first part! Flarecast also allows users to choose who will receive these notifications meaning you can assign flares to friends, families and associates. It's completely up to you.
How do you emphasis on an apps purpose? You make it as simple as possible. Flarecast successfully combines a super simple User Interface and unique purpose to create an incredibly well designed end product. I wanted to make sure that Flarecast could be used and understood by anyone, know matter how much tech knowledge they have. Flarecast is designed to be used and enjoyed by all instead of targeting specific audiences. I understood that no matter who you are, your battery will unknowingly run out or go low before you have a chance to contact anyone. It's a problem we all experience!
From the very start, Flarecast has been designed to be as understandable and usable as possible. Simple colour blends and word limitations mean our users only see the content which is necessary to enhance their overall experience. An intelligently arranged profile page also allows users to quickly navigate throughout the entire application. Splashes of vibrant colours in both the Chat and Notification centre allow Flarecast to be visually pleasing when combined with the applications overall simple and practical design.
Flarecast is the final product of countless amounts of work and dedication. Over the past year and a half, I have actively been investing in Flarecast to make sure it's in the best possible condition before its launch. Since 2013, when Flarecast was simply known as 'Project Spike' the entire app architecture has changed and been adapted to make sure it stays current and innovative. The recent introduction of Chat and Profile features was done to make Flarecast even more engaging and personal in what is 'A natural move'. The entire motto that Flarecast is built on has also been tweaked and now represents the applications purpose perfectly.
2014 was the year that Flarecast finally moulded into what it is today. Many re-designs later and we finally arrive at a UI and design to be proud of. From complicated, feature full designs to simple and minimalistic visions, Flarecast has always found a way to improve and successfully mould with the world around it.
Having a helping hand from a great Developer:
I have designed Flarecast from beginning right through to where it is today. The design and functionality have all been created by myself with helping hands from Technology entrepreneurs and a great Developer who have assisted me in the development stages. My limited Coding Knowledge meant that hiring a Developer was only right to increase the viability of Flarecast. Luckily, I had the perfect person in mind. With my knowledge of design and a great Developer lending me a helping hand, Flarecast is in its best state possible before release.
The initial version of Flarecast is just the beginning of a very exciting future. Keeping your device alerting others is a life long commitment and one which I am dedicated to. With your feedback the possibilities are endless.
Why Indiegogo?
Coming up with a problem solving, idea is one thing, but developing and releasing an idea is another. Those who have helped along the Flarecast journey and myself only want the best for Flarecast. We want to make sure that our user feedback is listened to and implemented and that Flarecast is in its most viable and stable position before its release to the public.
We don't have large amounts of capital and endless design and development staff. Instead, we have a passion for design and an even stronger dedication to both our users and their needs. At this point we have an early Beta version which means we are about 80% there. I want to make sure our users and yourself have the biggest amount of input during this final 20%. Working together and with one big push we can get Flarecast into your hands and start solving the problem which so many of us experience.
We need constant feedback from the community and yourself and this is why we are always here to listen to any suggestions you may have.Through the power of you and the community, Indiegogo can allow us to complete this journey together.
