An art exhibition dedicated to rekindling what it felt like to have unrestricted internet access, unlimited free time, and a home computer.

We're Martin Velez and James Davis, two college students who grew up playing thousands of browser-based games made by a thousand more artists. We want to give back to those creatives who pioneered the early wild west of accessible internet gaming, while also preserving the memories of the generations who played them.

Flash Bash is an art exhibition themed after flash and early browser-based games featuring 50+ artists from across the net. This exhibition would be held in real life at the Out of the Blue Too Art Gallery & More  in Somerville, MA, on May 7-8th and digitally within its own hosted world in VRChat later into the summer.

Your generous contributions will go towards financing the physical gallery for the exhibition, setup and printing costs, promotional material, and the installation of the real-world gallery, along with the creation of its VRChat equivalent. Additionally, all excess profits will be donated directly to the heart of flash games, Newgrounds.com.

We will be paying close attention to Massachusetts State Health Guidance on Covid-19, and if necessary, we will reschedule the physical event to a later date. Luckily, Covid is not transmissible through VRChat.
