FlexyMate - The Story

FlexyMate is a smart "HANDS FREE" device that can be bent and twisted into any position for holding your SmartPhone, GPS, camera, torch, cup or other items.

My name is Peter Glas. I am the inventor of the FlexyMate product.

One day, after noticing how many people with Smartphones were holding them for long periods of time - watching movies and Skyping,  I thought: "wouldn't it be great if there was a device that allowed people to use their phones hands free". After discovering there was nothing on the market that could accommodate the various uses of a Smartphone I invented one myself. It is called the FlexyMate.

Having sought a company to manufacture, I ordered a pallet to see if they would sell. Needless to say they went in a very short time. One of the greatest surprises for me was the variety of uses people found for FlexyMate.  It is has been used by golfers, car drivers, smartphone users, disabled persons, mechanics, photographers, cyclists and even those wanting to take "SELFIES"

The market has been fully tested in the hands of real users including those with disabilities  The product has also sold well in retail environments such as golf shops, cycle shops and camera shops. We have also sold the products for use in cars to hold
phones and GPS devices.

"We met with Peter yesterday (he was kind enough to come out to our house) & found Flexymate to be the perfect solution !

Not only could it hold Chloe's cup or drink bottle but it can also hold her Ipod.

We did some brainstorming between us & found so many different ways to attach it to her chair. Along the way we also discovered it can hold her remote control in her bedroom allowing her to independently use her tv/dvd player.

I am also venturing out with my little gang (all four of them) to the shops today & I am excited to use the FlexyMate for my very demanding little toddler. He likes to hold mummy's iPhone but I am always afraid he will drop it. Today, I am able to attach it to the trolley or his pram & know that whilst he is being quietly entertained my precious iPhone is safe.

I have a lot of friends with kids with special needs & I know that this will help a lot of children particularly with Autism as their Mum's are constantly asking what they can do to prevent a meltdown whilst out in public. Their children are quite distracted when using an iPod but can't be trusted with one as it is usually the first thing they throw when distressed. This would be the perfect solution !

I am more than happy to speak to you further as I really do believe this product could help so many people from all different walks of life. From the young, to the disabled, to the elderly & everyone in general.

I found Peter to be incredibly dedicated & devoted to improving other people's lives.

We are very excited about the potential for FlexyMate.
