Getting Funded
In order for Floppycats to take the next step in its process, we will need to reach our funding goal of $10,000, which will pay for the following:
Jenny & Rags
Back in 2008, my childhood purebred Ragdoll, Rags, had just turned 18 years old and I knew I was getting close to losing him. Motivated to make the remainder of Rags' life as great as possible, I searched the internet for any signs of a Ragdoll forum or community, and to my surprise there wasn't a single one -- and that's how Floppycats was founded!
Once Rags passed away at the age of 19.5, I filled the void by getting two Ragdoll kittens, Charlie & Trigg, which granted me the opportunity to continue sharing advice, tips and stories via Floppycats. Today, 8 years later, the Floppycats community is alive and strong, but we focusing on expanding our reach to even more Ragdoll owners and fanatics.
Risks & Challenges
Since this project doesn't require any fancy software or gizmos of that sort, not much can really go wrong. We are already have a team ready to revamp the website once the funds are raised, and I already know how/where I'm making the perks (shirts, cards, etc.).
