Food Wrap is a Patent-Pending reinvention of everyday plastic cling wrap.

Food Wrap has been created first and foremost to solve one of the biggest problems remaining in the kitchen: how to wrap food without using single use plastics but also be stress-free to clean and manage. Food Wrap easily wraps your food items exactly like cling wrap! But, when you're done, you can place it in the dishwasher (or hand wash) and reuse over and over again for years to come!

Not only is Food Wrap the first practical reusable solution to cling warp, but it also solves many cooking issues. Food Wrap can completely replace Baking Paper and Tin Foil as well!

Food Wrap is heat resistant to 235 degrees Celsius or 445 degrees Fahrenheit. That means you can use Food Wrap in the oven, on the stove and even in the microwave. You can bake with it, cook with it, steam with and use it for almost any other use you can find for normal Baking Paper and Tin Foil.  

Food Wrap does all of this without producing any harmful chemicals or residues. The Food Wrap material is 100% FDA approved! It is a BPA Free, high quality silicone made especially with your health in mind. 

So what else can it do? On top of being able to wrap your lunch, fruit and other snacks, Food Wrap can also be used as an all-purpose lid. When stretched over a plate, bowl or container correctly, Food Wrap creates and airtight seal, meaning your food stays fresher in the fridge than when you used cling wrap!

Food Wrap is super easy to use! If you're using Food Wrap to wrap a sandwich, fruit or any other food item, you simply use it just as you would normal cling wrap! Super easy! It’s the same as you're used to, but you can wash it and reuse it over and over again! 

How to use Food Wrap on a Plate, Bowl or Container 

First, place your Food Wrap evenly over the container, being sure to cover all sides

Second, make sure to 'grip' the back side of the container and stretch the Food Wrap over the container, making sure all edges are evenly covered 

Then, just make sure all sides are even and that there are no air holes along the side of the container

Finally, just release the air by gently pushing down in the middle of the wrap over the container. This will release air and ensure an airtight seal has been achieved.

The Packaging

This here is our first draft of the packaging. There are a few changes to be made, but this represents the packaging and style we want for Food Wrap. The packaging will be 41cm x 4cm (16 inches x 1.5 Inches). 

The packaging will be in a long rectangle box, similar to standard cling wrap. We are going 100% plastic free in our packaging to ensure that the positive impact of our customers using Food Wrap is maximised! 

The Food Wrap idea came from a simple lack of any real 'all round' cling wrap alternative. So we wanted to create something simple, safe, healthy and fun to use! 

The Food Wrap design, while simple, is the best size and thickness for a reusable clingwrap alternative. Make it too thin and it is impossible to clean and reuse, much like standard cling wrap. Make it too thick and it won't be easily pliable. Each Food Wrap is 40cm x 30cm x 1mm (16 Inches x 12 Inches x 0.04 Inches). These dimensions are what we found to be the best for a reusable cling wrap solution. 30cm x 40 cm (12 Inches x 16 Inches) is about how much cling wrap you would use to wrap most 

household lunch and everyday food items. The 1mm thickness on the other hand offers strength and durability.
