Short Summary
Footprint Theatre is a Sheffield-based devised
theatre company founded in 2014. We are committed to creating new pieces of
work that are grounded in truth. Our debut production, DANIEL, played to a sold out audience in 2015 and has been selected
to be performed at this year’s National Student Drama Festival.
Footprint Theatre has been asking what people
believe in. A simple question, but one that is rarely talked about. 'The Belief Project' is about the power
of our beliefs, no matter how great or small, even ones we didn’t know we had.
The show explores these beliefs combining verbatim theatre, oral storytelling
and an interactive origami lesson. This is a performance that is different each
night: different actor, varied dialogue but the same question. What do you
believe?
What We Need & What You Get
We are asking for £850 from our kind supporters. No matter how big or small, any donation will be invaluable in helping to ensure that The Belief Project is the incredible production we had hoped it could be. We are attempting to represent the community throughout this production, and the only way that we can reach as many people as possible is with your help!
The Impact
We've been going out into the wider community to find out what people really believe in. In contributing to our project, you'll be ensuring that we can provide a valid representation of our community, obtaining beliefs and stories from a variety of people. We're hoping to take the show further than our run at Theatre Delicatessen North, and with your help, we can keep this project going for as long as possible!
Other Ways You Can Help
We completely understand that not everyone is in a position to provide us with a financial contribution, but we'd really appreciate if you could spread the word to as many people as possible!
As an ongoing part of our project, we're always in search of more beliefs, so we'd welcome your verbal contribution to our project by filling out our short survey here:
