A man with dementia has been living in a care home for years. He is suddenly able to recollect memories from his youth when a radio plays a familiar song, which takes him to a vivid memory of the first Christmas he met his wife.
Short Summary
We are third year uni students at The University for the Creative Arts in Farnham creating a 10 minute drama graduation film. The film's heartwarming message and a desire to create something enjoyable yet meaningful brought our crew together, but to make this film live up to how we envision it, we will need your support! Any donations are much appreciated.
What We Need & What You Get
Forget Me Not is a production design heavy film. Therefore a portion of the £1,500 we are looking to raise will go towards props, and costumes for our actors. A portion will also go towards travel, food and accommodation for all our actors, extras and crew for the duration of the shoot. Any funds left over after the shoot will go towards post-production, and after that festival entries.
The Impact
We believe that this story is one that needs to be told now, as the dark sides of dementia and memory based conditions are often showcased in film and TV, but not the moments of hope. Our film highlights the struggles of dementia while also showcasing that with the right support, individuals with dementia can still live peaceful, fulfilling lives.
This is our last chance to make a short film within UCA and it would be amazing if we could pull it off in as professional a way as possible!
